A new "Blaziken ex & Volcanion ex Premium Collection" will be releasing exclusively on Amazon on September 5th. The price isn't known yet.

It will come with ten booster packs, reprints of Blaziken ex and Volcanion ex from Journey Together, and a new jumbo version of the same Blaziken ex.
The collection has the same configuration as the Venusaur ex & Blastoise ex Premium Collection releasing at GameStop in August. However, GameStop's promos will feature special stamps; Amazon's are only direct reprints...

Designer 1: "Which two random bulk ex cards can we put into a box, slap the word Premium on, and sell with a dozen packs?"

Designer 2: "Oh I know! I just randomly thought of these two Pokémon! Blaziken and Volcanion! They would fit together because- because they're both red!"

Designer 1: "Krikey, you're a genius! It's not like these two Pokémon have almost nothing in common, aside from one being a big humanoid chicken that breathes fire out of it's wrists and the other one being a dog crossed with a lion, crossed with a fricking volcano!"

Designer 2: "Exactly!"

My best guess.
 
Only thing strange about this to me is the Pokédex numbers being sandwiched together like anyone even know them / can identify them by those numbers - Blast and Ven are fairly iconic at 003 / 009 (which should be 0003 / 0009 since we’re over 1K mons but that’s another story) bet they charge 89.99 or something crazy like how the paradox fury was 60-70$ and this is more packs ***chuckles nervously**
 
Still going to try to buy these but prolly awile after release on Ebay if i can afford it if a seller is selling both

These two pokemon are completely different except for that they both have the fire type. WHY did they do this? I loved the Kanto starters idea 'cause Charizard is SO overrated he gets all the love. He owned three boxes in the SV era! But these two.... bro it's just some more bulk EX'es no on needs or want. If I was the Pokemon Company, i thought it was nice to make a sort of "Furious Trainers Premium Collection". I thought of this:

Pricing hasn't been announced, but considering how fast these premium sets tend to sell, it’s a good idea to keep an eye on Amazon for updates. I’m curious to see how the community reacts to the combo of Blaziken and Volcanion — seems like an interesting choice!
 
This looks like a fine product for people who just want a nice box to crack open some packs. And I think their availability will be great since this is not really an interesting product for scalpers.

So even tho it's not a appealing product for TCG players like myself I can see this being a good product for the more casual audience. Which is something we also need!

Probably only going to be 50 like masks of ogerpon or the Venusaur and Blastoise, paradox fury was 70 because of the card display

honestly its ok ish, but 10 JTG and 10 DRI is going to be very crazy and quite large. Even UPCs dont go over 17 packs, and making new promo cards for every one? And card sleeves? At the rate that TPCI is going to be losing money by making this, they might as well just make another Charizard/Pikachu/Greninja box and call it a day as scalpers fight to the death over them.

In my opinion, here’s how it should be ‘balanced’: (im making it like a upc kind of thing)
10 JTG -> 7 JTG
10 DRI -> 7 DRI
8 Pokémon ex cards featuring Hilbert’s Samurott, Blue’s Pidgeot, Gladion's Silvally, Korrina's Lucario, Iris' Haxorus, May’s Blaziken, Wally's Gallade and Akari’s Hisuian Typhlosion (edit, this will be very hard to put on a card lmao)
1 SIR Red’s Pikachu (scalpers assemble)
65 card sleeves featuring aforementioned characters
1 playmat featuring aforementioned characters
6 damage counter dice and 1 coin featuring Red
1 TCGL code card

Price: $200
Limit 1 per customer. Each customer has to show his/her ID at the Pokemon Center to purchase 1 unit at the Pokemon Center physically. On website, the webpage will note down which computers have bought one unit of this and block people if it sees the same details again. Will not be sold at any other establishment like Walmart, Target, or vending machines.

lol, not enough. we've all seen the clips of scalpers showing up with their entire extended family. only way to stop these subhumans is by printing more goddamn cards, like tpci keeps saying they will but don't actually do

Yeah a playmat! I also thought more of something like a UPC. This is actually a great idea of us!
