There might not even be a SV11a either I think theres no trademark for that, it jumps straight into mega era. If inferno x is a subset (M01a) and thats in october maybe the december will be a second high end subset? Like M01b. Or maybe theyll change things up a bit and give us 5 main sets in a year
Then again, your last sentence's mention of 5 main sets in a single calendar year vs. the norm of 4 has got me wondering if I should ditch arven and/or his fellow g-block supporters before the year is up: If inferno x turns out to be M02, and the mega set before M02 introduces a new block 6 months premature from the new rotation month of March to put rotation back to the old rotation month of September, or at least the first set of the early autumn months, down the road, that will not only cause more questions, esp. "was rotation being skimped as a result of covid-19 in some way? Did it slow the card-printing significantly enough to move rotation back by 6 months?", but if rotation reverts to September/October this year, after one rotation already back in March, I guess I need to come up with a good idea for a deck to inspire before the g block's probable striking out of standard as soon as English M01 releases in October, as the J block could start its run a half-year earlier than currently expected...
^ When they release the Japanese version of the mega series of pokemon TCG in August, as they always get the cards before the rest of us can buy any in our native English tongues, I'll be watching its block closely. If it's still I, I'll be happy. If it's J, I'll have to start looking for replacements to professor's research, arven, among other currently non-renewed supporters that came out in g block... The departure from the SV set brand is now getting more interesting...
But let's focus on the Unova set first... After all, who knows if good old N will show up in the unova set to demote Iono from the top of the hand-messers to a thing of the past? Pokemon species are one thing, but where's unova's iconic trainer?
