“Black Bolt” and “White Flare” Special Sets Revealed in English, Will Be First-Ever Dual Sets!

I just noticed that they put Reshiram on the "White Flare" and Zekrom on the "Black Bolt" which matches the color of the Legendary. But in the orginal games the legendaries where on the cover the color oposite their own color. I wonder if there was a debate at office about this to make it less confusing or they just forgot.

I don't. That's the biggest issue I have with the Japanese tcg

Best thing about the Japanese TCG imo. Makes hunting down cards significantly easier. 800 cards in a single set would be atrocious in this

Probably it allures more to their attacks than their editions.

As long as eng is dead set on the november release and avoid december like the plague. Meanwhile Japan says fck november and december always bring something new we are never gonna align. Also the subsets situation idk as much as Id love it I still dont see global release being anytime soon

Yes there will be thats why they said 8 full arts (ultra rare) bc it's 6 ex and 2 trainers per set. And also 1 supporter SAR each set. We do already know 3 of the 4 tho, Cheren, Juniper and Hilda, just one missing

This is pretty cool but Unova is my least favorite region. I’ll probably get the Reshiram and Zekrom ex Black White Rares and call it a day for this set. Gonna be splurging a lot on these upcoming Mega Evolution IRs and SIRs anyways for the next year and a half, as well as next year’s 30th Anniversary set.

Super stoked about Meloetta ex tho it seems there won’t be much space for previously ignored Pokemon (between popular and legendaries) and I don’t think the Meloetta will be the pirouette form maaaybe the gym promo ex? But who knows

i cannot WAIT to see the Meloetta ex (praying it's colorless). also hoping the dual set will confuse the pedestrian scalpers and mean that there will be some product out and about, especially since i imagine TPCi will have remedied their production volume enough by July.

Still really dislike english special sets. Buying a bunch of different products that most people normally wouldn't go for just to get a handful of packs.

Definitely don't regret quitting English and fully switching to japanese. It is cool though that this is the first time the English and japanese set names are the same

Eventhough the cards say SV11? thats why I assumed it was a main set

Why shouldn’t you know? You get the setlist before the thing is out.

Where do you get your Japanese sets if you don't mind em asking?

I ger mine from the Pokémon Center. I also switched over. But I rarely open booster - why should i if i get almost the whole set for the price of 1-2 displays.
