XY New Video Message from Junichi Masuda coming July 4th!!!

Levitating Steel/Ghost type? That would be awesome if it had good HP and Defenses. I think high Attack makes more sense as it's a sword and probably Defense (does it use the sheath as a shield?), while rather poor on special side. Might be this generation's inanimate supernatural Pokemon à la...

XY What new smaller details would you like to see? Things! Environment! Random events! Etc.

RE: Your hopes for 6th generation? Maybe the official-Pokémon-weight-surveyors in the Pokémon world outpoured the sand before weighing Hippowdon and then it is something like a empty vessel in the form of a hippo, so 661.4 pounds makes sense nevertheless... No seriously, as others said we're...

XY What New Moves or Adjustments to Older Moves Would You Like To See?

RE: What kinds of new moves would you like to see? With Fairy type being featured as counterpart of Dragon type at E3 or more precisely acting as a counterbalance to it in terms of battling, I'm hoping for a "Fairy Dance" move corresponding to Dragon Dance and thus raising both the user's...

XY No Professor in X and Y? and the Friend Group

After the insider information turned out to be right, there might be another possibility to allow all five trainers of your group to begin their adventure with a "real" starter Pokemon: "Another professor named Sycamore gives you either Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle." Given that your...

    (1) This Week's 'Pokemon X' and 'Y' News Releases [6/10]

"Early in your journey, you'll meet four special friends whom you'll encounter frequently throughout your adventure. All five of you will be given Pokémon and Pokédexes for your travels around the Kalos region." Distributing three starter Pokemon to five wannabe-trainers? Might end in trouble...

XY Evolution ideas for what we've seen so far?

I can see this, too. As I postetd in the main E3/CoroCoro news thread I hope that Furabebe's evolution line will portray the advancing co-existence of two species, from single individuals to symbiosis to conflating into one lifeform. So it could have a pre-evo in the style of a fairy from...

    (1) This Week's 'Pokemon X' and 'Y' News Releases [6/10]

Wow, after weeks of slow news the last two days felt like an information overkill. I don't even know where to start. I'm really impressed by a bunch of things that were revealed at E3 and in CoroCoro... the design of the new Pokemon, new game mechanics and battle variants and probably most of...

    (1) Supposed 'X' and 'Y' Insider Information [5/11]

TBH the only thing we know from that Smash scene is that Sylveon is able to learn a move that is strong against Ice, it was never said that it was a move of the same type as Sylveon itself. Closest would be Karate Chop, but I rather think it was Rock Smash, which can be learned by all...

    (1) Supposed 'X' and 'Y' Insider Information [5/11]

Considering re-typing of old Pokemon, I think two kind of type change are possible: The Normal type of a single- or dual-typed Normal Pokemon will be replaced by Fairy examples: Clefairy (Normal) --> (Fairy) Togetic (Normal/Flying) --> (Fairy/Flying) The Fairy type is added...

That makes much sense and I would appreciate it , but I somehow doubt that the types of legendary Pokemon will be changed.

    (1) Supposed 'X' and 'Y' Insider Information [5/11]

I think a fairy type fits very well supernatural types like Ghost or Dragon. They all refer to a class of mythical creatures. I see how some of you argue that fairy-like abilities are already covered by Psychic and Normal, but I think a Fairy type could indeed complement the existing types...

    (1) ‘CoroCoro’ Reveals New X/Y Details and Four New Pokemon! [5/11]

Agamas are able to change their color, too and though they are close related to chameleons, they look more like lizards. Also, I wouldn't over-analyze which type comes first and which second, but in the case of Normal, it has some meaning, as it was never used as a secondary type before.

    (1) ‘CoroCoro’ Reveals New X/Y Details and Four New Pokemon! [5/11]

I don't get the reason behind an Electric/Normal typing either. If you want to show that a Pokemon has any above-Normal abilities / elemental powers, which however are not sufficient to justify a pure type you would expect it to be Normal/whatever as in the case of Girafarig or...

    (1) ‘CoroCoro’ Reveals New X/Y Details and Four New Pokemon! [5/11]

No, Deerling and Sawsbuck are both Normal/Grass. It's already rare that a secondary type other than Flying is added to a Normal type, but it's unique to add a Normal type as a secondary type. As Elikiteru is said to soak up the sun's rays to generate electricity, I can think of an alternate...

    (1) ‘CoroCoro’ Reveals New X/Y Details and Four New Pokemon! [5/11]

So, ten new Pokemon so far and I don't really dislike any of them. Especially like the panda and the goat (though riding on it seems a bit gimmicky) The lizard is interesting, as it's the first Pokemon with a secondary Normal type. I wonder if there will be some kind of elaboration on that in...

    XY Sylveon's type is pink

Well, that might be a possibility, as Pink Bow fits very well with Sylveon's appearance, albeit I think in case we get an item called Pink Bow it would be regarded as a different item than the Pink Bow from Gen2. Thus it would not function as a type-enhancing item (as you said, we have Silk...

    XY Sylveon's type is pink

The same problem will occur in that case. You were able to trade a female Eevee being at max beauty in Gen3/4 or holding Prism Scale in Gen5, and it didn't evolve then. Of course, as you mentioned, GameFreak can make this happen if they want to, but it's highly unlikely, if you consider what...

XY What new smaller details would you like to see? Things! Environment! Random events! Etc.

I also think Fishing and Surf encounters could work together with Rippling Water even before post-game without causing serious issues of distribution. Like in previous generations, you may have one common Pokemon for fresh water and one for salt water (like Basculin/Magikarp and...

XY What new smaller details would you like to see? Things! Environment! Random events! Etc.

Yep, I thoght about these moral issues, too, that's why I speak of "unhatched eggs that where left behind". I totally agree that the act of picking up an egg from a Hidden Grotto should in no way create the impression that the protagonist actually robs the parents of its child, but rather cares...

XY What new smaller details would you like to see? Things! Environment! Random events! Etc.

I'd like to see a bonus map of the new region shipped together with the retail version of the games. There were maps added as bonus to other RPGs previously and IMO that would be a nice (and useful) gimmick for a Pokemon game, too. Furthermore: the comeback of Safari Zone a day care that is...
