Help Noob just getting started in need of guidance

Best place to go for info on standard format is the tcg section of the pokemon website. That'll give you the sets that are in standard and expanded then youtube is good place for finding decks etc

Discussion The future of the SwSh Metagame

The lost march basics get a hell of a lot of use out of twin energy, maybe not abusive levels but it's definitely a really good rougue next set. Especially with the LM Cottonee for ADP's.

    Standard Zacian V + ADP

If you're worried about your own labs messing you up, just play Swells or Power Plants instead. Also try to find a spot for the item lock cryogonal, it's really helpful against stall decks and even baby blowns.

I wonder if a Greens Copperajah...

Jirachi engine with dedenne and saucers seems better, but you may as well run zacian at that point. Green's could work though, epecially with quickball/evo incensce

    Best Pokemon TCG Attack Names

In french the UNB(i think) pyukumuku has an attack called Poing Surprise which is just the best

    Discussion Arceus/Dialga/Palkia GX

It has like a 80-20 with baby blowns(80) and is probably it's worst mu, tangrowth can be pretty bad too if they know they can stall you out. Other than that mu's are either 50-50 or like 60-40 or better. It's best mu is probably malamar, giratina can't touch you because of mallow lana and stuff...

Discussion State of Standard - CEC

Welder itself is not the main problem, it's cards like MewMew and Reshizard that have high energy costs but welder gets around that by attaching 3 energy a turn meaning those decks can swing hard early, but welder also makes stuff like baby blown one of the best non-GX/EX decks we've had in a...

Discussion State of Standard - CEC

If people want a viable non-GX option pidgey [baby] blowns is right there, sure it's a little vunerable to stamp but it uptrades on ADP, beats mewmew like 70 30, autowins gardeon (assuming you get pidgeons up) and uses busted welder engine. Only problem in swsh meta is no T1 elm, but quick ball...

Discussion New Tier List After Cosmic Eclipse

baby blowns, both versions are high tier 2 or 1.5 decks. I think that the pidgeotto version is best, can recover from stamp better. Also ADP just loses to it sometimes, as do most of the TT decks and you can have a pretty solid malamar with UNM Hoopa and beast rings means welder isn't always...

    Discussion meta right now?

go take a look at the tournaments section on limitlesstcg.com, should give you a decent idea.

    Standard Cosmic Eclipse Dark Box

try without the nagas -2 poipole -2 naganadel -3 treasure +2 Red&Blue +1-1 Weavile line +1 Cherish Ball +2 Tag whistle. naga might be better but a few people I know have been trying it just using Red&Blue + weavile to some success.

    Standard Whimsicott GX

Depends, its really good in the mally matchup so you can more easily ko the Mally's. It's 4 slots either way so depends on your preference.

Discussion What mechanics are you hoping for in Gen 8 TCG

Yeah, V is basically the new EX/GX

Discussion What mechanics are you hoping for in Gen 8 TCG

They have no weakness to prevent spoiling their typings.... its the same reason that the attacks have "no" energy costs. But I'd like to see dual types or delta species come back, they were really interesting mechanics.

Standard Beast Stinger (Naganadel GX / Ultra Necrozma / Nihilego)

Depends on if discarding the prize counts as taking it, personally I doubt it because otherwise Stinger GX could count as 6 prizes "taken"/removed from prize area.

Discussion What is a "healthy meta"?

I think the current meta (post rot) is pretty healthy, there's a lot of competitive decks about and the stuff thats less competetive can hold its own. This is probably the best the TCG has been for a while, at least compared to SM-UNB formatl.

Standard Post Rotation - Mewtwo & Mew GX Deck

also run 4 treasure and drop the comm, all the non GX pokemon are treasure searchable and comm has anti synergy with the deck. Also I'd use hapu over janine and put in a couple cynthia over the acro bikes or find room for a 3rd. dropping janine means dropping venomoth and then you've got room...

    Standard Slowpoke and Psyduck TTGX

Overall, i think this list is pretty decent, if you can go first you get attacking ideally before your opponent can set up but the 1 choice helmet and lady seem a little redundant as helm cant be searched and lady seems excessive, so I think throwing in some switch or energy spinner/recycle...

Standard Post Rotation - Mewtwo & Mew GX Deck

every deck has a bad matchup, but judge/reset stamp are good options. Dark box likes to keep certain pieces in hand so hand disruption can really help.
