“Black Bolt and White Flare Tech Sticker Collections” Fully Revealed!

The full product images of the Black Bolt and White Flare Tech Sticker Collections have now been revealed! The set's products will begin to release on July 18th.

As we knew before, the Illustration Rares of Reuniclus, Gothitelle, Tornadus, and Thundurus have been cut from our English sets and turned into promos. This means that unlike Japan, our sets won't have the full Unova Pokedex.

Fun fact: These promos are based on the Pokemon Black and White movies about Victini. In the Pokemon White movie Damon's companion pokemon is Reuniclus and in the Black movie it's Gothitelle!

Yes, but there are other version exclusive pokemon in B&W as well. The sticker collection and movie ones are the same so I can quite confidently say that it's supposed to connect

Pokemon White is the one featuring Zekrom, so Black Bolt, and Pokemon Black is the one featuring Reshiram, so White Flare. They didn't get it wrong, the set names are just references to the legendaries themselves and not the games

Okay but Solosis for example
It has always been a white game exclusive and vice versa with Gothita
So there still isn’t any reason for them to switch it up randomly

But they didn't switch it up ?? Black Bolt is Pokemon White because it has Zekrom, and Reuniclus is the Black Bolt promo and the rest of its evolution line is in Black Bolt too

You are wrong, that is not how it works... it's Black (like the black legendary..) Bolt (lightning) for Zekrom, so Pokemon White. And White (like the white legendary) Flare (flame) for Reshiram. So Pokemon Black. Nothing was switched up. They are named after the legendary pokemon, not the video games, hope this clears it up for you.

That's a stretch. There's no reason for these sets to make reference to that movie. It's just coincidence that they both showcase the same version exclusives.

They didn't have many options, the Legendaries would have to be excluded, leaving just the Reuniclus/Gothitelle, Whimsicott/Lilligant & Braviary/Mandibuzz lines. Whimsicott/Lilligant was out of the question since one of them got an ex, unless they used their Basics.

It is based on the set they came from. As Reuniclus line is from Black Bolt and Gothitelle line is from White Flare.

Don't look too hard into the version exclusives from the games corresponding with the sets. The other guy did make a good point about Black Bolt = White & White Flare = Black (as the set's names are based on the Legendary Pokemon and not the game's name which did a 180). However note that Braviary/Mandibuzz do not correspond with their respective Legendaries.
