More Cards Revealed from “Black Bolt” and “White Flare,” Including New “BWR” Rarity Cards!

I’m really looking forward to this set as a collector. I can’t wait to see the IR designs for some of these mons (pls give litwick and its line what they deserve). Hopefully most of the IRs are super affordable! I also love the Black/White Reshiram and Zekrom cards. The Victini red doesn’t look great, though. Will there be a blue Kyurem to go with this theme? hmmm

Which makes sense because G is still legal. I'm fully expecting a J mark Research to be part of the block when it comes.
 
Is that Hilda card not broken? So you can have Drakloak without any energy attached, and with this Hilda (maybe drawn from your recon directive) you can procure the cards you need to start swinging with Dragapult straight away (if you have neo upper energy in your deck).

Wait for it, just like in the original BW base set there'll be a secret rare PAL Pikachu ex yellow BWR reprint in one subset, and a 151 Charizard ex red BWR reprint in the other (Charizard wasn't overmarketed back then and they went with Meowth instead)

It'll correspond to Zekrom's and Reshiram's types and serve as a call-back to the PikaRom and ReshiZard Tag Teams

The old Noble Victories Elektrik does not have a regulation mark, and the rules are strict as to what Pokémon cards are considered legal in Standard. It would take a specific announcement from Play! Pokémon to declare that Elektrik would be legal to play despite lacking the mark, and that's not something they're gonna go out of their way for.

I am a Judge. It doesn't matter if a card has a regulation mark or not. As long as it's a direct reprint it can be used in official tournaments, as it's the case.

Same reason you can use old versions of Super Rod from Dragon Vault and Breakthrough. Shoot people use their favorite art of Ultra Ball all the time and none of those have regulation marks.
 
Welcome back Flaaffy Dynamotor. 90HP 2 retreat, where's the difference? We could now effectively run 8 Flaaffy in expanded and that's silly.

Hilda isn't bad but definitely just needs to find a place where it would be good

Classic B&W energy arts with modern borders are sweet, but will we get them in the US? Frickin better.
 
Eelektrik is definitely going to see play in versions of Pikachu ex and Raging Bolt. They're really buffing those decks in particular, dang.

also Iono's Kilowattrel but I don't think anyone really cared about that deck-

Hoping for an awesome art of Klink, Klang, Klinklang, Volcarona, Dwebble, the eels, Sigilyph, and Venipede, Whirlipede, Scolipede.
 
I know this may be weird to care about, but I'm actually really angry Air Balloon is back. I think it's super boring to invalidate a basic game mechanic (retreating in this case) just by slapping on a tool. I like the idea of the retreat cost a Pokemon is printed with actually mattering. It's not as bad as the abomination known as Float Stone, but it does give a free retreat cost to a massive percentage of Pokemon and makes the retreat cost for all the other Pokemon a lot cheaper. Rescue Board is MUCH more balanced. I was literally just thinking the other day how much I prefer Rescue Board.
