I agree that they should have all the basic pokemon as "pets" in a remake like Hey You, Pikachu! It should have the basic pokemon, like ones they would put in Mystery Dungeon, including Pikachu of course :P and they should have all the games from the N64 version like Gone Fishing, A Field...

OMG! I was playing Hey You, Pikachu! And I got a great idea for a spinoff they should make for the 3DS! (it still has a microphone, right?) A HEY YOU, PIKACHU! REMAKE!! only with more things to do! I love Hey You, Pikachu! I never got bored of it, my microphone doesn't always work properly...

I'm not sure, I'm thinking it was a bad egg since many people use the fast egg hatch cheat. Whatever it was, it forced me to start a new game :(

On my Diamond, I once used a fast egg hatch code and the manaphy egg code at the same time. It got to the point where if I took one step, the egg would hatch. My game froze every single time the egg hatched, at the same exact point in time. I'm not sure which one of those cheats made it do that...
