Hey everyone! It's Charlie and I'm happy to be back with another article. After the conclusion of the North America International Championships (NAIC), I took a quick break and am just now starting my testing process for the 2025 World Championships. I ended up playing a version of Marnie's Grimmsnarl ex alongside many of my friends, and got 84th place. Not a bad end to the year, but I was certainly hoping for more.



Now, it's time to prep for my favorite event of the year: Worlds! Luckily, we have significantly more time to prepare for Worlds than we did for NAIC, as that was condensed down into 2.5 weeks (after Portland ended). This time, there are nearly 8 weeks between the two events. We're also getting a few new cards, all of which come from the new Black Bolt and White Flare expansions...

I just like it to speculate. Are there new card types like radiant, ACE, Tera ex in the Main Set or is it just Mega ex? Which Pokémon are possible for an AR and which then really get one. We are discussing it every release time in our Pokémon WhatsApp Group, which AR ist possible due to the Main set and which we would like most. I will for example never forget, how f*kin Ferrothorn got the AR Spot in Raging Surf 072 instead of Jirachi 😅 And will we have Supporter Fullarts or only Item and Stadium Fullarts and Supporter SARs? How will the SAR Spots be splitted? 3 Pokémon, 2 Supporter ir 4+1? Questions over questions and I like it every time ❤️

Mega ex are the new card type. More mechanics will come in later sets.
 
Welcome back, Charlie! Finishing 84th at NAIC with Grimmsnarl ex isn’t bad at all props for pushing through the season. Cant wait to see what you cook up for Worlds 2025!

You mean the Toaster Photos from private persons? 😄 They always revealed the Main set 1-2 weeks before release and I'm sure we will see the first SAR revealed from the Company, not from a Toaster photo.

It's roughly the same. It's been awfully quiet this time around I admit. But we could expect to see leaks as well as SAR reveals almost two weeks from now.
 
Cool take on Steven's Metagross, I found Metagross interesting upon release but couldn't see it being viable to really mess with; however with the inclusion of Jellicent and the Genesect it definitely brings it back into question. While not being a solidified meta deck, I can see a number of locals playing this one style build. Thanks for the idea!

suppoter full arts should be in the set, wouldn't make sense not to; it never is said they won't be.

It didn't make sense to do Terastal Festival without ARs and Fullart Pokémon either 😁 we will see, i'm hyped. A new era is starting, at least for 18 months. With the leak from yesterday, i'm thinking about should Mega ex Fullarts be part of my Highlights category ex Fullarts (all ex Fullarts from all sets sorted by Pokédex number) or is it a new separate Highlights category Mega ex Fullarts. In BW/XY EX Fullarts includes the Mega EX Fullarts. But in my feeling they were more similar than now.

yeah but it was announced, no illustration rares and only ultra rare supporters in the press release, here there is no reason to think ultra rare supporters will be removed.
