“MEGA Dream ex” and “Abyss Eye” Trademarked for the Pokemon TCG!

[Water Pokémon Master]

Two new trademarks for MEGA Dream ex (MEGAドリームex) and Abyss Eye (アビスアイ) have been filed by Pokemon. They're under the same terms as trademarks used for set names in the past.

MEGA Dream ex sounds like Japan's annual High Class Pack set that releases every November or December. They always have card mechanics in the name, such as Terastal Festival ex, Shiny Treasure ex, VSTAR Universe...

Guessing the abyss eye set is gonna feature mega dragalge since it’ll be the start of the new block of megas released after LZA and that’s one of the main new gen 6 megas to be introduced. Very exciting !

Malamar also makes a lot of sense if it were to be a spooky ocean themed set.

It would be obvious if it was zygarde but it’s not. Literally what does “eye” suggest about zygarde? Abyss isn’t a word associated with the protector of nature. People have shitty logic these days

In Pokémon horizons Zygarde used it's cells as eyes for Lucius to see the world and Laqua became an Abyss so I think there is some connection there

Would be too much for our MEGA 2 because of the Decks. MEGA 2 = Inferno X + Ninja Spinner + Decks, MEGA 2.5 in January = MEGA Dream ex, MEGA 3 in March = Storm Emeralda + Abyss Eye is my call.

Yes and mega dream ex which will almost 100% release in december

A thought just occured to me: what if 2026's mechanic is the return of dual-type cards? At least, I would imagine we get a sort of "side" mechanic for Regulation Mark J while Mega remains the main one. So Abyss Eye could be a Darkness (Abyss) + Psychic (Eye) Pokemon ex.

Yeah it seems like it and for Japan its all this year. I do wonder tho if the emerald one could be after the Dream (high class) and its just the 1st main set of next year.

Poor mega sableye and lopunny only got tags team cards.

Id expect we will get an alternate art mega gengar in the high class set. They seem to do alt art versions of the main theme deck pokemon in these sets.
