It’s so funny seeing the difference in product design/marketing between Japanese and English. Even now, when the two releases are more aligned than ever, they still use slightlyyy different key art and design elements lol

Venusaur Tag Team also had "Dump" in its attack name! Seems like Venusaur really enjoys taking dumps and letting everyone know

Indeed. The very first set ever is called Base Set !

I wonder if the naming convention going forward is going to be "Mega Evolution: [set name]" (like SV) or "Mega + [word]" (like BREAKthrough and BREAKpoint)

Also I love that the thing that the two Kalos-focused eras of the TCG have in common is that they change nothing about the card layout compared to the previous era

I can't help but think mega latias ex could work in dragapult. 300 is a pretty good damage number to hit only cutting short of stage 2 ex and stage 1+ megas. It does use the same energy types as dragapult, but given lillies Clefairy ex is running around with Gardevoir, it's high risk high reward.

Realistically they probably changed it closer to Saint Patrick's Day. These things take a while to develop.
