Going to order 25-50 of my favs straight away on friday and will be getting the rest in tokyo next month. Pidove, Venipede and Solosis are set.

Unfortunately kind of disappointed at the lack of trainer cards, all of these cards are gorgeous but as a massive fan of characters it’s kind of a let down, especially since this was like their first recent chance to make an Alder card :(

I'm not necessarily disappointed that they did so many different artists because I love the exposure, both to me and for the artist, but I would have loved to see USGMEN do all of the Reuniclus line. I'm glad he's getting more notable cards that aren't the bubble mew, because he has SO much silly potential.

They are commissioning so many artists these days, between pocket and these massive sets with tons of IRs, I love it. There's something for everyone, so much to choose from. I don't understand the complaints about all the IRs potentially being expensive/chase, cause I know ain't nobody out here gonna be chasing solosis and scrafty but my fellow fine-art enjoyers and myself. I doubt ANY of these will be more than a few dollars aside from the legendaries and maybe a few cherry-picked ones like Haxorus and Volcorona.
 
Looking at all the arts they pulled I'm actually hyped for so many pokemon I don't usually care for. Like that conkeldurr is insane. As is the gotherita, blitzle and cofagrigus. Though my favs also got some good art with mienfoo / mienshao, excadrill and gigalith

I don’t think it will dilute IRs but I do think it will make exs and even full arts feel like duds. Not sure I will like that. But maybe that’s Pokémon company’s way to just get everyone to buy singles so they don’t have to keep printing more lol
 
It’s definitely not going to be worth it at all to open japanese packs with these normal pull rates of 3-4 AR +1 master ball (which btw don’t even feel like actual hits since most chase pokemon are legendaries in this set and they don’t have a non ex card so they can’t be reverse holos) +1 SR or above. Just too many cards, it’s way cheaper to just wait a couple months and then buy singles unless you somehow manage to get boxes for ~70 bucks (which is still almost double the msrp) instead of the ~140 most stores are charging now.
For english though, we really don’t know. Not once in history has english had better pull rates than japanese. But the stolen packs had really good pull rates although being quite a small sample. I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
