Standard Convenience for the Community (A List of Standard Budget Decks)

Pokemon: 16
4 Trubbish BKP (Preferably the BKP one, but the GRI works)
3 Garbodor GRI
1 Garbodor BKP
3 Phantump GRI
3 Trevenant GRI
2 Trevenant BREAK BKP
2 Tapu Koko PROMO

Trainer Cards: 27
4 Ultra Ball SUM
4 Professor Sycamore BKT
4 N FTC
3 Guzma BUS
2 Pokemon Fan Club FTC
1 Special Charge STS
3 Choice Band GRI
2 Feild Blower GRI
2 Float Stone BKT
1 Rescue Stretcher GRI

Stadium: 3
3 Atar Of the Moone GRI

Energy: 13
4 Double Colorless Energy SUM
6 Psychic Energy
3 Counter Energy

The basic Idea is to use trevanan until your opponent has enough items in their discard to swing with Garb. Counter energy allows you to power up Trevenants second attack as well as the Silent Fear attack in one turn. It is a bit situational, but it can scare your opponent into playing cards they don’t want to play or not playing cards at all.

Apologies if a post like this is frowned upon. My 10-year old daughter is trying to get more into Pokemon. I feel like one thing that's been holding her back is that she really has only been playing with theme and battle decks, which don't allow her to really dive into the game. So I was hoping to get her a couple of budget decks for Christmas that could hold their own in a semi-competitive setting Here's the catch. She's still getting down all the strategy. She knows the rules, but she doesn't have a lot of the nuance down. So which of these decks would be best for something like that, and also would be fun for a 10 year old to play? Thanks guys.
This kind of post would never be frowned upon. Most of the lists that were mentioned are probably the easiest to use. However, some of the lists have not been updated to the current format. Any cards with the set names of: AOR, PRC, ROS, and DCR (double crisis) are not legal in the standard format. Cards like Lysandre can be replaced easily with the card “Guzma” from Burning shadows. Cards like VS. Seeker are harder to swap though and I would get advice on that if your list isn’t completely standard anymore

The difference is that puzzle is as good as vs seeker IN SOME DECKS. not all decks can get value from running puzzle

Thanks for the help guys. Think I've narrowed it down to a few possibilities. Definitely going to do the Alolan Ninetales deck, and debating between a few others. I did notice that the Alolan Ninetales list only has 57 cards. What 3 cards would you include in the list to fill it out?

Also, feel free to PM me if you have any advice that you don't want to include in the thread. Thanks for all the help!

Hello, I and many other people are looking for Lele-less budget decks and today I have compiled a large list of some, ranging from competitive to just plain fun. These have been tested by Poke-tubers and other players. Feel free to refer to this list any time as that's what it is here for :)

EDIT: For any decks that have prices for the cards here is a note, prices are per individual card, not the combined duplicates' price, provided by TCGPlayer.com. This is extremely important.

I left one slot in the list for people to add in a card they prefer or would like to fill in. If you don't know what the cards do, Golduck for 1 [W] energy uses the attack Double Jet which says discard up to two [W] from your hand, this attack deals 60 damage for each [W] discarded. Starmie uses Space Beacon (an ability) to discard a card from your hand, if you do, place two basic energy from your discard pile into your hand (except for cards you discarded with Space Beacon that turn). The overall point of the deck is to streamline Golducks dealing 120 per turn (while retrieving energy with Starmie) until you win. All the other cards are support (like Octillery).

There isn't too many personally cards in this list except the extra Skyla (helps draw that one crucial card needed to keep up the Tapu Bulu GXs) and higher count of Octillery (helps against late game Ns and draw support throughout the game). I'd like to find room for a seconded Fighting Fury Belt, but I think this list is consistent enough for the moment.

Hey everybody, here is my Buzzwole GX/Garbodor list. If you don't already know, Buzzwole Gx is a 190 HP, basic GX that has an attack called Jet Punch which deals 30 damage to the active and 30 damage to one of your opponent's benched Pokémon (great for setting up K.O.s for later on) for one Fighting Energy. Also, the second attack can hit for high numbers at 160 damage which says this Pokémon can't attack next turn for three Fighting Energy (along with it's GX attack, which deals 40 damage times the amount of your remaining Prize cards). Combined with the disruption of Garbodor, Buzzwole GX can easily pound away at your opponent's Pokémon with chip damage until you sweep the board late game.

Some of my personal cards would be Shining Jirachi (instead of Espeon EX {which if you have I advise you use it instead}, Shining Jirachi can deal damage to add some extra damage and devolve your opponent's active Pokémon all the way to the basic, even through the Stage 1), Tapu Fini GX (helps incase your opponent charges up before you can by shuffling the charged active into the deck through Tapu Storm GX), and Acerola (helps pick up a damaged active or can be used in combination with Rainbow Energy to pick up any one of your Pokemon).

Hello everyone, here is my Milotic/Tapu Koko list. If you don't already know, Milotic is a 120 HP stage 1 that has an attack which says "Shuffle 1 of your opponent's Benched Pokemon that has any damage counters on it and all cards attached to it into their deck" for one [W] energy. Combined with Tapu Koko's Flying Flip, you can shuffle any of your opponents Pokémon that you feel is a threat before they strike.

Some of my personal cards would be Team Flare Grunt (helps remove energy from the active while attacking the bench with Milotic), Parallel City (removes more Pokémon from your opponent's bench in addition to Milotic), and Tapu Fini GX (just incase the active becomes to strong, you can shuffle them away too).

If you don't already know, Crabominable is a 140 HP stage 1 that has an attack which deals 80 damage and says "this Pokemon does 10 damage to itself for each damage counter on it" (unfortunate set back) for one Fighting Energy. Combined with Choice Band, Strong Energy, and other ways to increase damage output, this Pokémon takes advantage of the small energy requirement and big hits.

If you don't already know, Regibox is a four card combo between Regigigas, Regirock, Registeel, and Regice (all from CRI). The main idea is to charge up Regigigas with Registeel (through Turbo Arm, an attack that deals 30 damage and lets you attach a basic energy from your discard pile to one of your benched Pokémon for one [M] energy). Regirock increases Registeel's damage output (through the ability Rock Peak Growl which says each of your Registeel deal 10 more damage to your opponent's active Pokémon). Regice is purely to fulfill Regigigas's ability (which is that Regigigas can't attack if Registeel, Regice, and Regirock aren't on your bench) though it does have other uses. Combine them all together and you get Regibox!
Some of my personal cards would be Po Town (makes it easier to K.O. your opponent's high HP Pokémon that are evolutions), Counter Energy (if you need to attack with the other Regis), and Nest Ball (all of the Pokémon in here are basics, so I might as well). If you don't like Po Town, Brooklet Hill is an alternative option (helps search out Regirock and Regice).

If you don't know already, Regigigas is a basic with 180 HP (new record!) that can deal 160 damage for five [C] energy (a hefty cost, but there is a solution). One draw back is Regigigas's ability, which says it can't attack if Regirock, Registeel, and Regice aren't on your bench. Alolan Muk solves this problem with an ability which says each basic Pokémon in play (including your opponent's) has no abilities. Combined with Kiawe (which allows you to search your deck for four [F] energy and attach them to one of your Pokémon) and Turtonator GX (to help with attaching energy with the GX attack or attacking with Bright Flame/Shell Trap), Regigigas can take out GX and EXs easily.

Some of my personal cards would be Nest Ball (most Pokémon in this deck are basic anyways), Po Town (helps hit the high numbers on evolutions), Random Receiver (gives more chance of finding Kiawe or any other supporter), and Scorched Earth (to help with draw support without abilities).

If you don't already know, Noivern GX/Garbodor is a 200 HP stage 1 who has an attack which deals 50 damage and says "Your opponent can't play any Item cards from their hand during their next turn" for a [D] and [C] energy. Its next attack deals 120 damage and says "Your opponent can't play any Special Energy cards from their hand during their next turn" for a [D], [P], and a [C] energy. Its last attack (which is its GX attack) deals 50 damage to each of your opponent's Pokémon. All of these attacks combined with Garbodor makes for a formidable disruption deck.

Some of my personal cards would be Team Flare Grunt (adds more disruption to your opponent), Red Card (adds even more disruption for your opponent), and Parallel City (adds an unbearable amount of disruption for your opponent

If you don't know already, Delphox from FCO deals 20 damage times the amount of energy attached to all (including your opponents) Pokémon in play. Delphox Break increases Delphox's HP to 180 and has the ability Flare Witch that allows you to search your deck once during your turn for a [F] energy attach it to one of your Pokémon. Combined with other ways to search for other cards and energy acceleration such as Talonflame, Blacksmith, Delphox XY (has an ability that allows you to once during your turn to draw cards until you have 6 cards in hand), etc., I think this deck has some competitive potential.

Some personal cards are the Alolan Vulpix (in case you don't start with Talonflame), Teammates (helps when you need a card to use that turn instead of after Talonflame's Aero Blitz attack), and Super Rod (helps shuffle Energy for Flare Witch and Pokémon to set up again).

A few personal cards would be Random Receiver (helps you draw a supporter that turn) and Sylveon GX (helps draw cards early game for set up). This list is a little less consistent than normal lists, but it works fine and can hold it's own against most current meta decks.

Fire Energy*14 SUM $0.10

Total # of cards: 60
Total price: $96.45 (using the promo Silvally GX)

If you don't already know, Silvally GX is a stage 1, 210 HP GX that evolve form Type: Null (a 110 basic). Silvally GX's ability gives each of your Basic Pokémon in play free retreat cost. Its first attack deals 120 damage and says "Attach a basic Energy card from your discard pile to 1 of your Benched Pokémon" for three [C] energy. Its seconded attack (which is its GX attack) deals 50 damage times the amount of your opponents benched Pokémon for three [C]. This acceleration combined the "Fire" power of cards like Volcanion EX and Turtonator GX can quickly overwhelm your opponent.

Some personal card choices would be Enhanced Hammer (this card can help against matchups like Gardevoir GX and any other Special Energy reliant deck), Psychic Memory (can help Silvally GX OHKO Buzzwole GX), and Fighting Memory (can help Silvally GX OHKO Zoroark GX which is really popular right now.

This deck is realy expensive right now due to the price of Silvally GX and Type: Null. I think they will go down in price soon, but if they don't, you can remove the Type: Nulls and Silvally GXs and add in more Turtonator GXs, Volcanions (not the EX), and whatever else you like.

The basic Idea is to use Trevanant until your opponent has enough items in their discard to swing with Garb. Counter energy allows you to power up Trevenant's second attack as well as the Silent Fear attack in one turn. It is a bit situational, but it can scare your opponent into playing cards they don’t want to play or not playing cards at all.

These are all the budget lists I have found and received, thank you for reading! More will be added as they are found, feel free to check daily to see if one has been added!

EDIT: Decks are now in spoilers for ease of access and so there wouldn't be text clunk!

So what's the prices on the Marshbox?

So what's the prices on the Marshbox?

For the decks that had prices spoiler was exclusive to the decks that have prices, MarshBox currently doesn't have a deck pricing, but I will let know my deck price (er) to price it for you, I will send it to you, and update the deck on the thread.

Could you list the decks that are under 50-60 dollars, if any?
The only deck I know of off the top of my head that is under 50-60, is Alolan Ninetales GX, hope that helps!

Thank you both.

By the way, don't know if you already saw this, but the price for Marshadow box isn't up at the moment due to @AFEX being a little under the weather lately (hope you get better soon by the way @AFEX!). I'll post the price underneath here until @AFEX can get to it (sorry it came in a little late!). Hope this helps!

You has 4 extra slots to do whatever you want. This deck has absolutely ZERO playtesting because I just made it so yeah have fun. The idea is to discard stuff with Zoroark GX and stall the opponent with Marshadow GX, or just deny them with copying Jolteon EX/Glaceon's EX attacks.

I would just like to note that all the lists I posted have had absolutely not testing whatsoever, they are just a basic idea for what the deck could look like

Quick question, what is your definition of a budget list? No leles? Under x dollars? Because it is possible to make a list with 2 leles (80$) for under 100 dollars. I’m asking because I have a delphox break list that might be considered budget even with leles cuz delphox is so cheap.
