New Absol Promo and Classic Energy Reprints for Japan!

In addition to Karen, a new Absol promo will be given out to the winners of Japan’s Night Battle tournaments this August and September!

If this Pokemon is your Active Pokemon and is damaged by an opponent’s attack, choose 1 card from your opponent’s hand without looking and discard it.

[D][C][C] Shadow Cloak: 60 damage. The Defending Pokemon can’t retreat during your opponent’s next turn.

Japan’s next set of Gym tournaments will give out one of nine classic Energy promos to participating players. The Energy will use their original designs. This means we’ll see Grass, Fire, Water, Lightning, Psychic, Fighting, Metal, Darkness, and likely Double Colorless Energy (though they could make a retro Fairy Energy if they wanted!).

The classic Energy designs will likely be included in Evolutions, our November Base Set reprint set.
