‘The Master’s Path’ Revealed as French Name for Special 2020 Set, More Product Details!

We’ve learned the French name for our special 2020 holiday set will be La Voie du Maître.

In English, this translates to The Master’s Path or The Way of the Master. The actual English name will probably be different.

We also have additional details of the products we’ve previously announced. Update (Thursday, 1 PM): Added final details of all the products!

  • September 25th: Pin Boxes — There will be three versions this time. Each will come with one holo card (not a Pokemon V), one pin, three packs of the set, and a PTCGO code card.
  • September 25th: V Box — It will feature one Pokemon V promo, a jumbo version, four booster packs of the set, and a PTCGO code card.
  • September 25th: Elite Trainer Box — Like recent holiday sets, it will come with 10 packs of the set, an exclusive promo card, and the usual Elite Trainer Box trimmings. The promo card is not mentioned to be a Pokemon V.
  • September — Ultra PRO 4-pocket and 9-pocket portfolios (pictured in this news story, previously revealed).
  • October 2nd: Special Pin Collection — There will be two versions, each featuring five booster packs of the set, two promo cards, two pins, and a PTCGO code card.
  • October 23rd: V Box — It will feature one Pokemon V promo, a jumbo version, four booster packs of the set, and a PTCGO code card.
  • October 23rd: Premium Collection — This will include five booster packs, two promo cards, a jumbo card, a collector’s pin, a poster, and a PTCGO code card.
  • October 23rd: Super Premium Collection — It will include eight booster packs of the set, two promo cards, two collector’s pins, one playmat, and a PTCGO code card.

These are the only products we know about so far. All of them will release from September through October. Like all special sets, its booster packs will only be available through promo products. You can’t officially buy individual booster packs like a normal set.

As posted before:

Alcremie VMAX comes from Legendary Heartbeat, confirming inclusion of the set’s cards.

Drednaw VMAX and Gardevoir VMAX come from Japan’s Infinity Zone set, meaning they will be cut from our Darkness Ablaze set and put into this holiday set. Galarian Obstagoon doesn’t have red Dynamax clouds, so it’s likely representing the holo rare from Infinity Zone.

It looks like it’s going to be difficult to predict the set list for Darkness Ablaze with several cards being removed!
