Goodbye, Ash and Pikachu; “Pokemon Horizons: The Series” Title Announced!

After 26 years, the final episode of Ash and Pikachu’s journey just finished airing in Japan. It is the end of an era for many longtime Pokemon fans.

Following the episode, a preview aired for the new Pokemon series, now named Pokemon Horizons. TPCi has uploaded an English subbed version of the trailer:

The series will focus on “uncovering the mysteries of the Pokemon world.” Dual protagonists Liko and Roy will encounter many characters during their journey, including a group called the Rising Volt Tacklers led by Friede and Captain Pikachu.

The Rising Volt Tacklers will travel across the Pokemon world on an airship. Members include Orla, who enjoys mechanical and electrical work, Murdock, who is skilled at cooking, Mollie, who specializes in healing treatments, and a man named Ludlow. Their partner Pokemon are shown below.

Liko and Roy will also come across Amethio, who is joined by his partner Pokemon, Ceruledge, and belongs to an organization called the Explorers. They’ll also encounter a popular video streamer known as Nidothing.

No English premiere date has been announced yet.
