SWSH Ultra Premium Collection to Feature Charizard!

We can now reveal the SWSH Ultra Premium Collection will feature Charizard! We first revealed the collection last month.

The collection will release on October 28th for $119.99. It will come with…

  • 3 etched foil promo cards: Charizard V, Charizard VMAX, and Charizard VSTAR
  • 1 playmat featuring Gigantamax Charizard
  • 65 card sleeves featuring Gigantamax Charizard
  • 1 metal coin featuring Gigantamax Charizard
  • 6 metal damage-counter dice
  • 2 metal condition markers
  • 1 acrylic VSTAR marker
  • 16 Pokemon TCG booster packs from the Sword & Shield Series
  • A player’s guide to the entire Sword & Shield Series
  • A code card for Pokemon TCG Live

Presumably the three Charizard cards are alternate art versions that will come from VSTAR Universe, which releases in Japan this December. We already know we’re getting alternate art versions of other VSTAR Pokemon from that set, such as in our VSTAR Premium Collections for Origin Forme Dialga and Palkia and Hisuian Zoroark.

There is also an Arceus VSTAR Ultra Premium Collection that will release sometime in the future.

I know we should all batten down the hatches NOW as per usual with the big guy, but playability-wise, I don't think these Zards are going to fare AS well in the market since they're not as playable as previous Zards.

Still though, it's Charizard. Who am I kidding.
 
Hopefully the hype crowd won’t take to this just like they didn’t take to Radiant Charizard in the Pokémon GO expansion.

or maybe they are from that deck with Rayquaza that will release in november
