Galar Partner Tins in February, Feature Rillaboom V, Cinderace V, Inteleon V!

Rillaboom V, Cinderace V, and Inteleon V promo cards are coming to the Pokemon TCG! On February 27th, America and Europe will be getting “Galar Partner Tins” that each feature one of the cards. Each tin will retail for $24.99.

As expected, Pokemon V will always be Basic Pokemon even if they featured evolved Pokemon. This is so they can easily evolve into their VMAX Evolutions without being a cumbersome Stage 4 line.

It’s possible the three V cards will originate from Japan’s VMAX Rising set, which features all three Pokemon on its booster pack. The set will release in Japan on February 7th.

Grass and Fire and Water types—the foundations of the Pokémon Trainer’s team! The Galar region recently introduced us to many new Pokémon of these types, and now you can add three of them to your Pokémon Trading Card Game collection in the form of mighty Pokémon V. Choose the thunderous beat of Rillaboom V, the speedy fire and quick moves of Cinderace V, or the shifting splashing moves of the clever Inteleon V in the Pokémon TCG: Galar Partners Tin. Each of these fantastic tins contains a full-powered and entirely awesome Pokémon V, fully evolved from a first partner Pokémon of the Galar region! You’ll also get a selection of Pokémon TCG booster packs to add even more Pokémon to your team. Get your Pokémon V collection started off right with the Pokémon TCG: Galar Partners Tin!

Each Pokémon TCG: Galar Partners Tin includes:

  • 1 of 3 foil Pokémon V: Rillaboom V, Cinderace V, or Inteleon V
  • 5 Pokémon TCG booster packs
  • A code card to unlock a promo card in the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online

The Pokémon TCG: Galar Partners Tins will be available on February 27, 2020, in the Pokémon Center and where Pokémon TCG products are sold.

They are basic pokemon card. It's EX all over again.

  3. Rillaboom might be the only viable card in the bunch. The others are all so lackluster...

Rillaboom isn't bad when paired with its non-V counterpart. It isn't great but it isn't bad either

if cinderace VMAX is good enough, the free retreat cinderaceV is acceptable.

    • Rillaboom V - with the SWSH Rillaboom, I can consider this a good thing. 3-4 Geodudes
    • Cinderace V - Welders 2HKO Reshizard. 4 Geodudes
    • Inteleon V - without Vital Band, you can't even KO Reshizard. The cost is payable tho with Frosmoth. 4 Geodudes

You know if they were clunky stage 4 v maxes it might encourage the meta to become somewhat diverse compared to the big basic "I don't need to know how to play the deck to win" meta at the moment.

I really like Rillaboom's render, personally. The card looks really great art-wise. Inteleon is okay I guess, Cinderace is kinda boring (but then again I don't really like Cinderace all that much). I do think these are kinda underwhelming in comparison to say, the Gen 6 Starter EX's (which are super underrated cards, I always loved the way those looked, especially for promos).

5 packs and a promo is a pretty good deal all things considered, though, which is nice.

FIVE packs in a tin??! That hasn't happened since Victini tin from Black/White era.

Also, the new tins look a little... smaller?

V seems to focus more on hp than fancy attacks or abilities. That’s what I’m seeing at least
