Carracosta-GX, Dragonium Z, and Other Gym Promos Revealed! By: Water Pokémon Master Posted 7 months ago to TCG 22 comments We’re still not done tonight! The next round of Gym promos have been revealed for Japan! When players attend Gym tournaments over the coming months, they’ll receive a booster pack with one of the following promo cards. Thanks goes to Bangiras and Arantxa T. for the translations! Carracosta-GX – Fighting – HP250 Stage 2 – Evolves from Tirtouga Ability: High Density Armor If this Pokemon is at max HP, any damage done to this Pokemon by your opponent’s attacks is reduced by 90 (after applying Weakness and Resistance). [F][C][C][C] Ground Break: 160 damage. The Defending Pokemon can’t retreat during your opponent’s next turn. [C] Stone Age GX: Search your discard pile for any number of cards that evolve from Unidentified Fossil and play them onto your Bench. (You can’t use more than 1 GX attack in a game.) When your Pokemon-GX is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize Cards. Weakness: Grass (x2) Resistance: none Retreat: 4 Dragonium Z (Dragon Claw) – Trainer Item Pokemon Tool: Attach a Pokemon Tool to 1 of your Pokemon that doesn’t already have a Pokemon Tool attached to it. If this card is attached to a Pokemon with a Dragon Claw attack, that Pokemon can use the GX attack on this card. (It still needs the necessary Energy to use the attack). [C][C][C] Dragon Burn GX: 80x damage. Discard all basic Energy attached to this Pokemon. This attack does 80 damage for each card discarded in this way. (You can’t use more than 1 GX attack in a game.) You may play as many Item cards as you like during your turn (before your attack). Swadloon – Grass – HP70 Stage 1 – Evolves from Sewaddle Ability: Curl of the Leaves Any damage done to this Pokemon by attacks is reduced by 30 (after applying Weakness and Resistance). [C] Bug Bite: 10 damage. Weakness: Fire (x2) Resistance: none Retreat: 1 (A reprint from SM11 Miracle Twins, but with alternate artwork.) Basculin – Water – HP80 Basic Pokemon [C] Group Devour: This attack does 20 damage times the number of Basculin you have in play to 1 of your opponent’s Benched Pokemon. (Don’t apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokemon.) [C] Tackle: 10 damage. Weakness: Grass (x2) Resistance: none Retreat: 1 (A reprint from SM11 Miracle Twins, but with alternate artwork.) Exeggcute – Psychic – HP50 Basic Pokemon [C] Leech Seed: 10 damage. Heal 10 damage from this Pokemon. If heads, your opponent’s Active Pokemon is now Asleep. Your turn now ends. Weakness: none Resistance: none Retreat: 0
All the cards that have been revealed so far (theme decks, miracle set and this) are they gonna be apart of the August set

Igglybuff - cute for stall turns. I will call this. This is the alt art of the Igglybuff from Remix Bout. So that means, we'll get an Igglybuff in SM12. 3 Geodudes Carracosta-GX - Getting all the Stage 1 Fossils is sometimes better than getting 1 from the deck but ends your turn.Nice ability. 4 energy 220. 3-4 Geodudes Dragonium Z (Dragon Claw) - Since we have so many Pokémon that has Dragon Claw in the current format, this can literally OHKO Tag Teams if you discard 4 energy. Since its all Colorless, use Malamar, use Welder. 4 Geodudes Crabrawler - Crabominable confirmed in Remix Bout.
In Unified Minds, there will be eight Tag Team cards, nine additional Pokemon-GX, more than 25 Trainer cards, and two new Special Energy cards. Rowlet & Alolan Exeggutor GX Psyduck & Slowpoke GX Raichu & Alolan Raichu GX Mew & Mewtwo GX Espeon & Deoxys GX Umbreon & Darkrai GX Mega Sableye & Tyranitar GX Garchomp & Giratina GX (?) Moltres & Zapdos & Articuno GX Heatran GX Keldeo GX Latios GX Jirachi GX Aerodactyl GX Weavile-GX Mawile GX Dragonite GX Naganadel GX Tag Switch Reset Stamp Black Belt Grimsley Coach Trainer Giant Stove Normalium Z Tackle Flynium Z Air Slash U-Turn Board Jessie & James Poke Maniac Blizzard Town Misty's Request Night City Blue's Strategy Cherish Ball Slumber Forest Giant Bomb Great Potion Stadium Navigator Unidentified Fossil Channeler Pokemon Research Lab Hapu (?) Tinnitus Bell (?) Blaine's Quiz Show Recycle Energy Weakguard Energy
@ronangorski is that list confirmed or just speculation? I have seen some of the cards on that list (i.e. cherish ball) mentioned, but never confirmed as coming to Unified Minds.
Well, Unified Minds is supposed to consist of GG End, Sky Legends, and Miracle Twin. So however it is a speculation, it is based on 3 already revealed sets.
The GX attack is very bad imo because it's on a stage 2 fossil and the attack is something that you'd not want to use later than T2.
Well, at least Great Potion has a home now, with Carracosta-GX. It means it has effectively 390 HP with just 1 Great Potion, but attacks that do 140 or less damage will have trouble even 3HKO'ing Carracosta. The ability is really good, but being a Stage 2 fossil makes it a lot weaker. The main attack is alright, but nothing to write home about.
You can also include Dragonite GX from SM11 to the list of Pokémon with Dragon Claw as one of their attacks.
Carracosta! You’ve returned in splendor! This is an effective 340 HP monster dealing 220 damage a turn for 2 Energy while blocking Retreat and a GX attack that sets itself up. What doesn’t scream “powerhouse?” It’s not even a Tag Team!
A part of me was expecting the dragon move to be Shred but Dragon Claw is definitely common as an attack for basics and stage 1s
That Carracosta, in terms of the artwork, looks absolutely fantastic And, it's fighting type. And whenever I see fighting, I gotta see how I can make it work, because I love me some strong energy shenanigans. Edit: didn't even notice igglybuff until just now. It's so nice to see it back!
I love this Carracosta so dang much, I cant wait to build a deck around it. Also! Igglybuff for the first time in ages, sweet!
Igglybuff.... why? If I was a competitive collector, I would use that card as a noise maker on the back of a bicycle.
Just for the collectors. Igglybuff hasn’t been seen on a while, so collectors will want their hands on it. If you think this is bad, see some other Babies.
Carracosta seems to be close to a MVP player, lets see if this support for fossil pokemon can be good enough to make it a top tier
