First Product Image of ‘Arcanine BREAK Box’ By: Water Pokémon Master Posted 4 years ago to TCG 19 comments Pokemon.com has revealed the first product image for the Arcanine BREAK Box! As revealed a few months ago, it’ll feature foil promos of Arcanine BREAK, Crobat BREAK, and Mandibuzz BREAK. As the star attraction, Arcanine BREAK will also be included as a jumbo foil card. The box will come with five booster packs and a PTCGO code card. It’ll hit store shelves January 6th. Arcanine BREAK was originally released in September’s CoroCoro Ichiban. Crobat BREAK was given to winners of the Japan’s Gym tournaments from April to May. Mandibuzz BREAK was given to those who bought an Awakening of the Psychic King booster box in March. Arcanine BREAK – Fire – HP160 BREAK Evolution – Evolves from Arcanine Arcanine BREAK retains the attacks, Abilities, Weakness, Resistance, and Retreat Cost of its previous Evolution. [R][C] Turbo Flame: 80 damage. Choose 2 basic Energy cards from your discard pile and attach them to 1 of your Benched Pokemon. Crobat BREAK – Psychic – HP160 BREAK Evolution – Evolves from Crobat Crobat BREAK retains the attacks, Abilities, Weakness, Resistance, and Retreat Cost of its previous Evolution. [C][C][C] Silent Bite: 60 damage. You may leave your opponent’s Active Pokemon Paralyzed. If you do, shuffle this Pokemon and all cards attached to it into your deck. Mandibuzz BREAK – Darkness – HP140 BREAK Evolution – Evolves from Mandibuzz Mandibuzz BREAK retains the attacks, Abilities, Weakness, Resistance, and Retreat Cost of its previous Evolution. [C] Destruction Wing: This attack does 20 damage to each of your opponent’s Pokemon. This attack’s damage isn’t affected by Weakness and Resistance. Then, discard all Pokemon Tools attached to each of your opponent’s Pokemon.
Finally arcanine getting more love He is going to be so usefull to get energys To other fire types Crobat is good to get damge to your opponent's Mandybuzz is so playable take tools off but we have rattat
Which is shut off by Garbador and can only discard off the Active. This, on the other hand, is everything your opponent has. May be a tad slow with being a Break but Wally can fix that if a deck needs the out that badly.
I'm not saying mandibuzz is better (it is a stage two after all, so to even get to it, you'd need to have a vullaby and mandibuzz in your deck (as well as mandibuzz break), which takes up three spaces. However, the problem with rattata, is that the biggest reason why we need tool removal is garbodor, and garbodor shuts of rattata's ability, making it unable to deal with garbodor.
If a deck really needs tool removal, especially for Garbodor, a better choice would probably be Beedrill. Beedrill only takes up one slot so it's much easier to include in a deck.
Two prizes is pretty steep just to take tools off of two Pokemon for no damage, especially when Mandibuzz can do the same thing but for the entire board + some chip damage. The only benefit to Beedrill is that it's consistent.
It'd be awesome if you get all 5 packs as Evolutions like it shows. Still cool! I might just buy the Arcanine Break off ebay.
What's the usual price of these(in the states)? The only thing I want out of the box are the two arcanine cards, so maybe it would be cheaper to buy them individually...Or I could sell the other breaks.
Ooh. Arcanine Break+ Arcanine evolutions may be interesting as a fun little deck. Also, will laugh if there's no legal crobat, but there will be a crobat break.
Arcanine BREAK has a TON of obvious synergy with Volcanion. Can't wait until this comes out and I can play around with some Arcanine/Volcanion Lists. Could be hard with speed though.
