Japan’s Pokemon Center Website Reopening!

Back in ye olden days of Pokemon, Japan ran an online Pokemon Center website where fans could purchase Pokemon merchandise. It shut down many years ago, but the official Japanese Pokemon website has just announced that it will be reopening on February 16th!

The online store will be located at its previous URL: http://www.pokemoncenter-online.com/.

Shipping will cost 500 yen, though it will be free if you spend more than 3,000 yen (around $25). We can probably assume shipping will be restricted to within Japan’s borders.

Upon opening, the website will be selling an exclusive set of Kanto Gym Leader badges for 19,440 yen (about $170). If you spend over 5,000 yen, you’ll also get one of three A4 document cover cases.
