New 3DS Game – ‘Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Magnagate and the Infinite Labyrinth’

Some early scans of CoroCoro magazine have leaked, revealing that a new Mystery Dungeon game will be making its way to the 3DS in Japan this winter: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Magnagate and the Infinite Labyrinth. The game starts out with you having a weird dream and waking up as a Pokemon! Possible Pokemon you can be include Pikachu, Snivy, Oshawott, Tepig, and Axew. Virizion, Gurdurr, Hydreigon, Cofagrigus, Amoonguss, Cinccino, Dunsparce, Espeon, Umbreon, Excadrill, Rampardos, Pelipper, and Kecleon will also make appearances in the game, with some running their own shops.

The game will feature an AR scanner: your objective is to scan objects in the real world to unlock portals called Magnagates, which will allow you to enter new dungeons. The third scan below jokingly suggests to scan round objects like fried eggs, clocks, CDs/DVDs, tires, and old people’s heads to unlock the Magnagates. The game will most likely be in full 3D, making it the first real Pokemon game to be in 3D. Thanks goes to Rogan for the translations!
