Hope You Have A Better Christmas Than Me :D

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you have happy holidays, spend a lot of time with your family and friends, and create new and happy memories!

I probably won’t be updating the website over the next couple of weeks unless there is major news. A funny thing happened to me a few hours ago! I went to Fry’s Electronics to buy some last minute gifts for my mom and took my laptop into the store since I had all my gift notes on it. I was there for a few hours and left after the store closed, but on the freeway I kept thinking to myself, “I don’t remember putting my laptop in the car… I don’t remember putting my laptop in the car… I don’t remember putting my laptop in the car…” Sure enough, when I arrived home and popped the trunk, it wasn’t there. I rushed back to the store and the employees were luckily still there, but no one had turned it in. I remember seeing my laptop at the cash register, so it was lost between there and the parking lot. We looked all over the place, including in the shopping carts, but it was probably stolen when I wasn’t looking or, if I left it in the cart, after I left. We’re going to go back on Saturday and ask them to look through the security tapes, but I doubt it will accomplish anything if someone took off with it. Out of all of the crazy stuff I have done to my laptops over the years, this has to take the cake.

Luckily, I didn’t lose too much information. Before I went to Japan, I backed up everything in case I would die on the trip, so I only lost school work between then and now and some of the website stuff I was secretly working on (and I still have not unloaded my camera, so all of my Japan stuff is still there). The trouble now is that my laptop had all my passwords, settings, etc., and it was the only working computer in our house, so I won’t have as many opportunities to check for news or to update the site. I have to use my 10 year old laptop that is in six pieces (with 128 MBs of RAM and a 20 GB HD), and if I try to move it, the power cuts off. I’m waiting for Sony to release their new line of laptops in January, so I won’t be buying one until then. In the mean time, I’ll try to check the internet as often as I can, but I can’t guarantee we’ll be as fast as usual with news.
