Pokemon What is Game Freak doing (as in, with the franchise right now, not what they're actually developing)

What is GameFreak doing?
why is it bringing back first gen Pokemon back in the spotlight?
Every Pokemon Franchise is leaning towards the first gen
look at the anime as a BIG example they brought back the stars of the golden ages
charizard,Drgonite,mewtwo and even the Pokemon that broke all our hearts Butterfree!!
and the new season is them traveling through islands *COUGH**orange islands*COUGH*
and the games all the Pokemon that have been revealed have a relation with gen 1 Pokemon and X=Blue Y=Red
So why do you think theyre trying to do?
go back to the golden ages?
i personally think they are trying to get Pokemon as it once was

Man what colour were Ruby and Sapphire again? They're probably just wanting to show kiddies the original 151 mons.

Bringing back what they know sells the most,is a good move for the franchise.
Just like the TCG reprints, give it a new look and They still come out on top.

Yeah, new fans can see the originals and old fans get nostalgia. Nostalgia sells, it makes money. Hell without Nostalgia, i'd say Nintendo would loose a lot of money.
