Ah Alakazam...

Think it has some playability now? With Tapu Koko promos able to spread damage like no one's business and Mewtwo a long way from the current metagame is there a possible niche for it? (Garbodor hits pretty hard but Garbodor hits everything hard)

His big problem is consistency. He doesn't have a CONSISTENT way to deal with things like Garb, Metagross, Greninja, and Zoroark. He definitely got a great friend in Tapu-koko, but it's not enough.

I kind of disagree with some of these. When paired with Decidueye, it absolutely wrecks Metagross, Greninja, and Zoroark. It isn't the most consistent deck, but you only need 2 owls down to hit absolutely huge numbers quickly. Koko is cute, Decidueye is instadeath for most of the meta.

There is absolutely nothing you can do in the Garb match up though due to weakness and when you have the BDIF two different ways hitting you for weakness, that pretty well kills any chance this deck has at ever gaining traction in this meta.

That actually kind of sucks too because with the slightly slower format, the deck is very powerful.

Edit: but to answer the original question: no it isn't viable right now. But the reason it isn't viable has everything to do with weakness to Garb rather than having a partner with the ability to spread enough damage to function effectively.
