I am going to Tokyo Pocketmon Center to pick up a pre-sale movie ticket today.

Is there anything else in Tokyo that's Pokemon related and worth visiting?

Is kiddyland in Harajuku worth visiting? It appears that some Kiddy land branches have a promotion called "Pokemon Town", not sure if all stores are participating.

While you @ the Pokémon Center~Pick up a few Pokedolls (Plushies).

harajuku is worth it

Thanks. I will make sure to stop by Kiddy Land today.

Seems like JR is running a promo between 7/25 and 8/9. Participant needs to get 6 stamps from various JR stations and turn it in for a prize. Going to miss that, oh well.

7-11 is running a bento promotion, where you can pre-order movie themed bento that comes with Arceus, chopsticks and bandana/hankerchief. Too bad you have to pre-order it and wait for 4 days.

Is there any chance 7-11 have left-over bento they want to sell at the end of the day?

Is there also a lottery at 7-11 where you pay 500 yen for a ticket and have chance to win pokemon prizes?

P.S. I am pretty miserable right now since it's so hot and humid; and no retail is open before 11am.

Just got the pre-sale ticket.

And got my Pichu on the platinum (and accidentally deleted Darkrai event item :(). Turned out the Tokyo Pokemon Center has a real-life Union Room, and that's where the Shiny Pichu is distributed (by distribution card, lol).

Could someone please suggest which theater I should go watch the movie at? Looking for a new theater with a lot of attractions.

I can't realy help you (I wouldn't mind a clone of 2day's (17th of July) Shokotan Pichu~or I can trade you for the 19th of June's one).
Maybe herrosferret can be more useful to you.
Edit: Can you post (either useing Jp text or pic) of what I need to say to the person to get mystery gift in japanese.

Thanks Gastro!

Kiddy Land in Harajuku rocks, it's practically another Pokemon Center (that sells movie exclusive stuff prior to the movie release :D).

On the other hand, my UFO operating skill is da fail. Or perhaps Oji's Namco Center is just ebil. I will try my luck in Ikebukuro tomorrow after the movie.

Light Venusaur, if you are referring to the secret phrase to enable mystery gift, I think that's no longer needed. Mystery Gift is automatically unlocked if there is a distribution signal broadcasting when you get to the first menu screen.

Thanks to you, I got a bunch of PokeDolls; I will lay them out on the hotel bed tomorrow to scare the cleaning lady.

Random thoughts:

7-11 needs to accept credit card; forcing me to use my UFO fund to buy Pokemon instant noodle isn't cool. I tried one of the Pokemon 7-11 raffle, and won a Pikachu/Pichu glass (worst prize you can win!)

Here is a link to the 7-11 bento, http://www.711net.jp/page/g/491019000000000

Oh, and it's mandatory to be reeking of booze after midnight if you are still out in the street. And sleeping on the ground in public is a-okay in most cases.

The gift wrapping tape they use at the Pokemon Center binds to the platic bag permanently (good luck peeling it off). And the Chimpchar giftbag work perfectly as a laundry bag.

Just came back from the movie.

The Arceus distrbution was very nicely done on Pt; instead the boring download (lack of) animation of the other events, Arceus download started with small energy balls forming into a larger ball in the upper DS screen, the ball floated down to bottom screen and then Arceus emerged from the light. very epic.

This theater has the promotional pop corn bucket (which I am still trying to finish eating while typing this), a yellow sandbox toy plastic bin with shoulder strap (covered in popcorn grease). They were also passing out the "early attendee" prize pack, http://www.pokemon-movie.jp/presents/

Apparentlty, film program is a big deal in Japan, Pokemon movie is no exception. It's got pictures from the current and previous movies, a centerfold (of Satoshi/pikachu/arceus), bg on the voice actors, a card board visor, and of course LOTS and LOTS of ads on Pokemon goods.

Seeing a Pokemon movie first-hand in Japan, it makes the US DVD-only release seem like epic fail. It's amazing how much content there is readily available for the franchise, and the US market is only utilizing what seems like less than 20% of the potential.

BTW, contrary to some claim, Pokemon 151 is still going with new designs released earlier this year (mew, golem and tangola). But don't visit the old website because it's now a porn portal.

Love the bento box....
The Pichu on it...is it normal or Gizamimi/NE-Pichu?
*I want the "hankie/towel" if it's the Gizamimi Pichu*

It's Gizamimi Pichu.

Sorry I can't help you out because I just got back to the States today. I thought about getting more bento just for the hankies/chopsticks, but the bento didn't taste that good~ :(

*Welcome back to the US*
Do you also happen to be a member of the Pokémon Collectors on LJ?
If so, I love the photo's you took of the Pokémon Center.

Wasn't that Herreosferrets pictures.
Anyways, the bento cover is cute, and awesome for buying stuff.
Lucky when my dad went to Japan he used the excuse that he didn't see the pokemon center....
