Help Hoopa-EX Search for a GX Card?

Hello, I'm new here and also new to pokemon TCG in general, I would just like to know the ruling if Hoopa EX can use it's ability to search for a GX pokemon card. Thanks to whoever can answer this!

Hi! Hoopa EX ability states:

When you play this Pokémon from your hand onto your Bench, you may search your deck for up to 3 Pokémon-EX (except for Hoopa-EX), reveal them, and put them into your hand. Shuffle your deck afterward.

You can only search for Pokemon EX, not GX. Hope this helps.
