Ruling Golurk DRX and Terrakion NVi

If I use Golurk DRX to devolve a Pokemon, causing it to be knocked out, does Terrakion's retaliate (and, for that matter, Experience share, Boufallant BLW, and Toxicroak BC) acivate?
 
It doesn't activate.

The reason is because it wasn't knocked out by damage; it was knocked out by being devolved and having more damage counters on it than its HP. If something other than actual damage contributed to the final damage for knockout (poison, devolution, placing damage counters, Tool Scrapper a Crystal Wall), then Retaliate, Revenge, and the like won't get their bonus.
 
Just to further add, if you use Devolution Punch with Golurk on an Evolution Pokemon that already only has 60 HP left, they still get to return the evolution to their hand, and they don't get the effects of Retaliate, EXP. Share and so on. Reason being is that you must complete all effects of attacks BEFORE checking for any knock outs.
