Game Name: Call Of Duty : Black Ops
Why: Black Ops is an incredibly social game. I enjoy playing with my friends and working as a team to defeat opposition, even in school it's something nearly every boy can relate to and join in the conversation.
The game itself has great multiplayer functions, as-well as listening to the Call Of Duty community with for example the introduction of Wager Matches etc. I admit the game has it's flaws as it does get boring after awhile, but they release Downloadable Content to freshen thing up and being able to socialise from the comfort of your own home is great, it makes relationships stronger with your friends in my honest opinion.

Like shadoworganoid said it's violent as it's a War Game, but 12 year-olds can relate to Black Ops. Infact I know that most of the boys in my school that are around 12 years-old play the game. Age ratings are silly I honestly disagree with them, but I won't go into that lol.
 
Game Name: Shantae: Risky's Revenge
Why: Better question is, why not? Best DSi game so far. Amazing action and tight gameplay. If you have a DSi, there is no reason to not download and play it.

Game Name: Super Scribblenauts
Why: The first Scribblenauts was extremely fun, and not to mention it was the first of its kind. Who would of thought that you could have God fight a T-Rex on your very own DS screen? It had its flaws, however. The controls were clunky, I found that when I was trying to move an object, Maxwell would jump off the cliff instead. And, I always hated that that bridge just wasn't long enough. Then came Super Scibblenauts. The controls got much better, I never fall off cliffs unintentionally anymore. Plus, the addition of adjectives made the game even more fun and entertaining. After God VS. T-Rex, what else could there be? How about a Giant Purple Striped God versus a Green Winged Fire-Breathing T-Rex? More importantly, the levels are more deep, and more puzzle based. The levels where you have to find something in common with all the objects are extremely fun. And some levels have multiple steps to beat them, like "Protect Maxwell from the plague!" and then "Bring an infected specimen to the doctor to study!" and then "Help the doctor find a cure!" and finally "Cure the girl!" Plus, there are two special worlds, er, constellations, that focus on action, with dangerous situations that have you hoping your crazy idea works. Plus, as Xdogking said, the level editor is quite deep, allowing for professional levels. And, a new feature is that you can make your own title screen playgrounds, so there is an endless amount of essentially freeplay. The graphics and music, while not being on par with some other games like Super Mario Galaxy or Black Ops, are unique in their own way that adds a certain unexplainable feel to the game that adds to the playful feel of the game. Overall, Super Scribblenauts is an amazing game that is worthy of the title "Game of the Year"

*i put Magnetic clothes on me and created all of these metal weapons like swords and battle-axe's.
* I've made an evil God vs. a good Satan.
* I created a Evil Robotic Flying Christmas Tree and a Invisible Invincible flying Piranha, where else can you do stuff like this? Not a lot of places, probably nowhere else.
Hands down a great game.

Why did you change it?: Maybe it's the fact that my PS3 experienced YLOD, or maybe it's the fact that i don't like Black Ops story-line, i just do not like it.

Game Name: Pokemon Heart Gold/Soul Silver
Why: The most improved Pokemon game yet, updating almost everything, a great storyline, one of the best remakes I've seen in a long time, finally updated Johto sprites, ect. *Pokemon fanboy :p*

Game Name: Pokemon HG/SS
Why: much more content than other pokemon games (2 regions), huge amount of things to do, great remake of gold/silver

wow after all these super scribblenauts picks i want to buy it and see how fun it really is.

Game Name: Halo Reach
Why: Its a great game overall and I have taken the warthogs to places where they weren't meant to be :p Example: I took the gauss warthog past the hunters on oni swordbase and another example is that I took the rocket warthog on tip of the spear to the falcon pick-up point :p
 
I am absolutely stunned to see that no one's submitted Red Dead Redemption.

IKR? It was a great game, but I think most of the people here are going with the majority or because of favorites.

Hey everyone, we have a problem; we have a 7 way tie between games with one vote. What I'm going to do is I will post the poll with all the games that have more than one vote. I'm doing this so that I may still keep this poll/thread on schedule.

@Dmaster: I would've gotten Shantae, but I just put my DSi on Ebay today so I can't.
 
Galaxy will win this because the majority of the members here are U13. Black Ops is best IMO though. Not that I'm saying that Black Ops is only played by people 13 and older. I mean, I play it (and most of the COD games before it), most of the people in my classes play it, most of my friends play it.
 
I'm gonna say either galaxy or pokemon (I have both), they're both pretty awesome but galaxy is better even if the story is kinda dumb (stages are very cool though) :D
 
I will definately choose Super Mario Galaxy 2. Mainly because the gameplay is creative yet not confusing, fun, and it's a game that the entire family will love.

Okay, so at first, it was a pretty close race, Super Scribblenauts just one behind Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver. I was happy. Then, I check back today and Super Scribblenauts is two behind Pokemon Heartgold and Soulsilver. Okay, but then I find we're NINE behind Super Mario Galaxy 2? Come on, let's get some votes for the most awesome game of 2010, the game with any solution to its problems, that has an endless amount of freeplay, the game with an extremely deep level editor, Super Scribblenauts! *Insert thunderous applause here*
 
I wasn't expecting Scribblenauts to win, people like to vote for the bigger titles. Whatever, I think they're missing out big time. Super Scribblenauts was amazing and it didn't even need to be a 1st or 2nd party game.
 
Super Scribblenauts was fun, but it definitely can't compare to the pure beauty that was Super Mario Galaxy 2. Galaxy 2 is gaming in its most pure form.
