Wouldn't it be better to use the PRC Scptile to attach grass energy? You couldget him up and running turn 1 with FoGP, then attach extra energy. With mega turbo and/or max elixir, I could see a turn 1 crisis vine. It would be difficult but possible.

You could if you want but you'll need to run a heavy line. Doesn't it heal 30 damage too?

PRC Sceptile can only attach extra energy cards from your hand but it does heal 30 damage each time. Vikavolt let's you search your deck for the energies. Personally, I think Vikavolt will be a bit better. Not needing to have the extra energy in hand or play Professor's Letter makes it much easier to accelerate.

I also think that the upcoming Lurantis GX would make a fine partner for M-Saur. It's a grass stage 1 that can accelerate 2 energies from the discard and deal some light damage early on in the match. Would also let you switch out Mega Turbos for Max Elixirs.
