BW "super cards"?

@ Pikachewtofu, that will never happen and everyone knows it. If every card was good as you were saying then pusa would lose out on profit cuz there will be such an abundancy of good cards. I agree with everyone else, I want more broken cards cuz Im getting bored of luxray tbh.

i just hope that in BW there will be good enough cards, be it legends primes or just regular rares that can put a fight up against SP. Sp totally dominates the meta and i dont quite like it.

But why do we need broken cards? Base set didn't have anything special about it, back then, the game was 100% based off of a player's strategy. Now we just buy A Luxray GL Lv. X for the sake of having something better than everything else.

I have not heard of this news story. Please elaborate!

B/W will have something. I hope Primes continue, (Dmaster, shush! give me evidence first!) and I hope legends continue, but get better.

Rumors circulating around Japanese blogs state that the first Black and White TCG set will be split into two sub-sets, Black Collection and White Collection, and will be released in Japan on December 17th. Each "set" will feature 50 Isshu Pokemon for a total of 100 new Pokemon cards, and with Trainers, the sets will be even larger. There will also be a new mechanic involving Legendary Pokemon which could be some sort of continuation of LEGEND cards, though details are unknown at this time.

It was posted Monday, September 13th on the Main site. It's not like 100% confirmed Legends are returning, but there's a high chance.

dmaster out.

I agree in that the days of base set were better in that they lacked 'super cards'. We don't need pokemon doing 100 damage for 1 energy, we need cards that provide for more interesting strategy. Everything aggro isn't very interesting, then it just becomes what type beats another type.

I completely agree with Pikachew Tofu; we don't need any more super cards. If they don't make any more cards that can do 60/80 for one energy then all those that can will eventually rotate out and we'll finally have a fun filled metagame where it's mostly strategy and almost any deck can be good again because the fact that something with a one energy attack outspeeds it is in the format.

yes. i totally agree that the current metagame is based on speed and strenght.
the tcg should somewhat reflect the video games. having a well rounded team. attacker, tanker, special defence specialist, etc....
that would make the tcg much more exciting and fun, with limitless possibilities for a team

Everybody complains about SP, but it is exactly what everybody wanted. They wanted a new innovative style of play, and that's exactly what SP was. That's why I think they need to make something new that is similar to SPs.

I think they should make more SP's maybe reprint the engine with team plasma pokemon that can use TGI's and maybe some more. Or just a different set of them. I know its unlikely, but I would love to see that happen.

More Broken Cards!!

A Metal Pokemon with Healing Breath
A Fire Pokemon with Bright Look
A Water Pokemon with Erasing Sound
A Fighting Pokemon with ...
A Colorless Pokemon with Take Out
A Grass Pokemon with Leap Away

See what I just did? I created VARIETY using what we are already familiar with. Now just imagine how fun the game would be if more Pokemon had broken effects.

^See? Why have broken cards? Now this is worse. We're getting a bit uncreative, too. The same moves on different type Pokemon? How much worse is this going to get? Do we really want a bunch of different type Pokemoon the exact same moves as others? Should we make Kingdra yellow, too, because you like that color better? Should we start making Supporter cards act like energies? What else do you want? I have an even better idea! Why not have a bunch of different types and Pokemon have the same stats like in Base Set, so that way it's anybody's game, and we don't have to worry about what deck we're going up against?

I want more balanced cards.

The metagame seems to revolve around the same cards over and over. It'd be nice to see the cards downplayed a bit in the new format to see some variety in tournies. There's waaay too many overpowered cards taking over at the moment.

And as much as I hate SP I want to see Team Plasma cards so badly.
Maybe a return to how they worked in the Rocket era?
Please.

iuno, maybe its just me, but i dont like using other trainer's pokemon. thats why i loved it when hgss went back to basics and even got rid of the pokemon levels.(totally thought the lvl stuff was wack and random)

I honestly think the level thing was decoration and an exscuse to have Level X as the sort of "power" cards of the era.

I'm a huge fan of SP cards as collectables just because I can get the cards my favorite trainers use.
(You should have seen me when I found out about Rising Rivals.)
