    Old Meta-game Decks?

Ludicargo was one-both from the Deoxys set. Use Magcargo to search for a card you want, put it on the top of the deck, and then draw it with ludicolo. Since benches were actually big back then, Ludicolo's Circular Steps attack (like Jumpluff's Mass Attack, except it excluded Ludicolo from the...

    Doing Badly on Tests

For dealing with bad test scores, it really does depend on the class. For me, my problems are in two classes: World Geography and Geometry (I'm in all 4 core Pre-AP classes, as I am only a fishie in high school). Our Pre-AP World Geography teacher is notorious for giving out absurd amounts of...

    Ruling Damage counters and resistance?

You're right in that weakness and resistance are only calculated when direct damage is dealt, and not when damage counters are placed as part of the attack, as in your example.

Ruling Brush Off and Unown G?

Yes, unown G prevents all effects of an opponent's attacks done to the pokemon it's attached to, so brush off is negated.

    Ruling "The Defending Pokémon"

No, generally, effects go away when a pokemon is benched. There might be a few exceptions, but you'll have to look in the compendium for the exceptions (if there are any, which there may not be). So Doom News-effect doesn't follow. Smokescreen and like effects-doesn't follow to bench Etc...

Ruling Pokemon Powers and Bodies in general

For the energies, Gliscor I think was correct but worded a bit differently. If the card says: "Provides X {insert color here} energy" where X is the number of energy it provides, then it counts as one card providing that amount of energy. So there would be 2 energy on that pokemon for one card...

    TCG Rules Question Suggestion

Kind of agrees with this portion. Not so sure about the other part of the quote yet though... There is also a rise in the number of people just repeating what others say just to feel right, like they are cool and junk. Like DOX said, it was "beat[ing] a dead horse". I'm fine with someone...

Ruling Damage Counters and Bench Shield

The bench shield only blocks direct damage, not damage counters, so the answer is it doesn't block damage counters. Ask if you need further info or clarification.

    Ruling Damage Order

If the effect is a poke-body that says "you may remove X damage/damage counters", then yes you can flip for burn and not use the healing effect, therefore the pokemon would be KO'd. However, in the OP's scenario, the tangrowth's body says "remove 1 damage counter from Tangrowth between...

    (2) Toxicroak, Zapdos G, Gengar LV.X, 'PokePark Wii - Pikachu's Great Adventure' Famitsu Magazine Sc

^But if you look at the coloring, then you will see that the toxicroak is a shiny one. So I guess that makes it holo-rare worthy... Zapdos does greatly inhale, they could have at least have made the other legendary birds to make it look better... Oh gengar how will actually look semi-cool...

    Ruling Power Spray+T-Tar SF

Yes you can spray the power and still get T-tar's effect as the power has been used, but the effect was negated. Basically you get the energy from the usage of an effectless power (think of it that way if you spray'd the power).

    What happened to Buffer Piece?

^OR they just put it with the rest of the tools that will come out in PA, like PMJ said...so just be patient.

Ruling Heat Wave Pokepower Heatran lvl x

^ The "once at the end of your turn" portion is there so that you can't use the power more than once on that Heatran. It says nothing about affecting other Heatrans (except if they are active and discarded an energy or two) in the text, so you would still be able to use the power two times if...

Ruling Looker's to draw zero cards

Yeah, the rule for " up to" is that you must choose a least 1 of x, whatever x is (cards, damage, revealing cards, lunch, etc...). So think of it as saying " You may draw up to 5 cards but you must draw at least one card." So you can't draw zero cards with looker.

    Current format.

You're right. A tool recycler, an evolution-invoking, trainer-trapping starter, another healer tech, expert belt, and reprints are all not useful now. But they could in the future when they come out in America, thereby actually being in the metagame here. And why just care about metagame decks...

    Ruling confused

^Confusion nowadays places 3 damage counters, not 30 damage, on the confused pokemon. That makes a difference as it isn't affected by weakness or resistance nowadays (b/c it's counters). It used to be 20 damage that had weakness and resistance apply for the damage. (not trying to be completely...

    Heart Gold/Soul Silver set blues?

Actually there has always pretty much been speed decks, setup decks and strategy decks ever since the beginning of the game. Anyways the HGSS set looks cool so far and I am glad that they are toning down the game. So far there are tons of combos already with just the few scans that WPM has...

    Ruling Unown G

No, as if a pokemon already has a tool, it can't have another attached on it. And Reclaimer, a tool can't be discarded for a new tool. You can use Mismagius GL Lv. X. to pick up the old tool so you can play Unown G on that pokemon however.
