Slowbro from ‘Rage of the Broken Sky’

The Japanese Pokemon Twitter account has revealed Slowbro from Rage of the Broken Sky. Thanks goes to Jake C. for the translation!

Slowbro – Water – HP100
Stage 1 – Evolves from Slowpoke

[W] Careless Hand: 10+ damage. Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 50 more damage.

[C][C][C] Miracle Home Run: When you use this attack, if you have 1 Prize card remaining, you win the game.

Weakness: Grass (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 2

We’ve never had an attack like Miracle Home Run before. But running a Slowpoke-Slowbro line in your deck that needs three Energy to pull it off seems gimmicky at best. Unless you use Mew-EX and Dimension Valley or something. But that’s a lot of work for such a specific end-game situation. (And no, I am not trolling with that attack effect this time – it’s real.)

Even though Pokemon Centers are running a Mega Evolution campaign when this set is released which includes a Pikachu plush wearing a Mega Slowbro costume, we won’t be getting a Slowbro-EX and M Slowbro-EX in this set. And it seems Pokemon BREAK aren’t meant for Pokemon that have Mega Evolutions. So I guess they’re saving Slowbro-EX and M Slowbro-EX for Slowbro’s next appearance in the TCG.
