Ruling Zorua's Ascension

Hey guys I have a question regarding Zorua from Dark Explorers, its attack "Ascension" reads the following...

"Search your deck for a cards that evolves from this Pokemon and put it on to this Pokemon. (This counts as evolving your Pokemon.) Shuffle your deck afterwards."

My question is, can you use it on your first turn? Thanks.
