Zektrik (Zekrom BW/EX & Eelektrik)

Hey guys. I don't got much experience with this deck, but I got with Thunderdome. I need some help and maybe something I may have forgotten on the decklist.

Pokémon (15):
2 Zekrom BW
2 Zekrom EX
2 Mewtwo EX
2 Tornadus
4-3 Eelektrik

T/S/S (31):
2 Skyarrow Bridge
4 Professor Juniper
4 Sage's Training
2 PONT
4 Pokémon Collector
2 Level Ball
2 Eviolite
3 Pokémon Catcher
3 Switch
1 Super Rod
4 Junk Arm

Energy (14):
10 Lightning Energy
4 DCE

Strategy:
Start with Zekrom BW/EX and put some early pressure in your opponent. Keep swarming with Zekroms and use Mewtwo to counter other Mewtwos or take some cheap prizes.

Options:
-Add Super Rod (I'd like to have atleast 1)
-Shaymin EX (Don't think it's needed)
-Regigigas EX
-Terrakion (the retreat is very big)

I'd cut a PONT to max out Sage's because it will help to discard energies more. Shaymin EX could help as a late game finisher and is very good in my opinion. I'd cut a zekrom for another Zekrom EX, but its just my opinion.

Yeah, I already added another Sage's. I prefer to have 3 Zekrom BW because it doesn't give 2 prizes, and I don't want to use Zekrom EX more than 2 times. Shaymin EX would be great, but I would need to sacrifice some consistency. I would like to add 1 Super Rod. What should I remove for it?

Maybe super rod won't be needed. If you want to include it, then I'd remove like a 1-1 eelektrik for it since in most decks, 3-3 eelektrik seems to be sufficient.

I will have to test it. I do like to have 4-4, for consistency. I could remove 1 Eelektrik for the Super Rod. I guess I'll have to test.

This deck only needs 2 Zekrom and 3 Eelektrik, IMO. With Super Rod, they will be easy to recover, and can go for a return KO the next turn with the help of Pokemon Collector. Unless Durant is really popular in your area, drop an Eelektrik and a Zekrom for either 2 Tornadus or 2 Thundurus. Thundurus accelerates the discard pile with Disaster Volt but Tornadus resists those pesky Fighting types such as Terrakion, and is helpful since the deck already uses DCE thanks to Mewtwo. This deck desperately needs a Shaymin to move the Energies as well, since Mewtwo may not be able to pull off a KO without it, and sometimes you are lacking the Energy needed to retreat a Catchered Eelektrik. I would drop a Switch; 3 is too many in this kind of deck, and I would also get rid of a DCE, since you'll only ever use one Mewtwo in a game. Keep the fourth DCE if you opt for Tornadus, however.

- 1 Zekrom
- 1 Eelektrik
- 1 DCE
- 1 Switch

+ 2 Tornadus/Thundurus
+ 1 Shaymin UL
+ 1 Super Rod

Hope this helped.

With Tornadus I would have 6 attackers that abuse DCE (another reason to run 4) and also i can retreat Eelektrik with DCE. Switch helps me keeping Zekrom EX attacking and keeping Eels out of the active. I don't think Shaymin is needed; I like the Tornadus idea tho. Seems like a good option. Imo Thundurus is only good on Thunderdome. I don't like it in any other decks.

Updated with Tornadus.

Tornadus makes sense to put here, but the only Fighting Pokemon in the current Meta is Terrakion, and any deck that runs Terrakion will more than likely have a way to Catcher around it. I may generate some hate saying this, but why not run Smeargle. You already run Skyarrow Bridge, and that card makes Smeargle one of the best starters in this deck. You collector turn 1, and possibly get a hand refresher in the same turn. I run this deck with 2 Smeargle, and I get a Zekrom EX able to Strong Volt by turn 2 most of time. Smeargle gives you a great set up that is very fast.

Smeargle is not a bad idea. In fact, it is a good idea. Needs some testing, tho.

I've been testing Zekrom/Eelektrik for a very long time now, and I am very pleased with Smeargle and Shaymin. Smeargle was never really my starter (since I only run one copy), but I used it for clutch hand refreshment and for a faster setup if my start is not good. Shaymin allows for some surprise Zekrom-EX's, Mewtwo-EX's, and other attackers. If you do run Shaymin, I don't really recommend running Super Scoop Up or Seeker, since it takes up quite a bit of space.

Yeah, this deck is a bit tight, so I wouldn't add Seeker or Scoop Up anyway. I have to test Smeargle. It should be nice as a free retreater (with Skyarrow) and it can use it's Power. Sounds good.
