XY: Evolutions Set List Discussion

So this is my question: since the main theme of Evolutions is to do updated/remastered versions of Base cards, and Base Blastoise already was remastered as Deluge Blastoise...does that mean Deluge is gonna be cycled back in again with Evolutions?

I'm both surprised and a little sad that they didn't bring back Base/Deluge Blastoise again, especially since he's available in the Kel vs Ray box that came out too.I guess the issue of Base Venusaur's Ability being given to Golduck BREAK may have played a factor.

Some of the Buffs and nerfs that the Base cards are rank from interesting(Raichu, Electrode, Machamp) to what?(NidoMale) Also Base Electabuzz and Surfing Pikachu being kept the same feel like missed chances too, the former because his fellow Basic Base king Hitmonchan got statbuffs while he was untouched, and the latter because SurferChu was a fun tech in water decks back then but would just be nothng but a gimmick now due to being the same stats.

Also I can't stop laughing at Imakuni's Doduo-and strangely this marks the 3rd Illegal card in TCG along with Ancient Mew and BDay Chu right?

Clefairy is in the set! You can't cross it!

There isn't a COLORLESS Clefairy...

The slot before Surfing Pikachu's likely the reprint of the "ivy" Pikachu that Japan got at the same time as the alt. art Charizard IMO. I'd imagine the Charizard will likely be a promo at some point since it's a card that can easily sell a product.

October 22 was the day that I am going haywire. It was the start of prerelease of XY12. I have something discovered in this set.

  • Secret Rares like... eeww! Ooyama's Exeggutor are placed on the uncommon slots, but they're still Secret Rares. Actually, they are 5 of them.
  1. Ooyama's Exeggutor
  2. Imakuni's Doduo
  3. Here Come's Team Rocket
  4. Flying Pikachu
  5. Surfing Pikachu
  • No FAs for Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise, according to my source.
  • Mewtwo was a Regular Rare due to theme decks.
  • Other from Mewtwo, the rares are:
  1. Raticate
  2. Electrode
  3. Arcanine
  4. Dewgong
  5. Farfetch'd
  6. Beedrill
  7. Starmie
  8. Mewtwo
  9. Dugtrio (not the 80s one.)
  • The pulls are highly favorable to holos, as what I have saw on YouTube.
Are you agree on what I have discovered to that set? Feel free to tell.

With prerelease being in many places in the US, I've been waiting to see the set list. Does anyone know if:

a) We will get new full arts for Venusaur, Blastoise, and Charizard?

b) the secret rares Japan got will be in the set?

c) Mewtwo will be holo or regular rare?

I think Mewtwo will be just a regular rare. I pulled two from my packs and one was a normal rare and the other one was a reverse. I personally saw full arts Venusar, Blastoise and Mega Charizard. I dont recall seeing the promo full arts though. The SR cards are in the same slot as the BREAKS.

A, I don't know. I saw it in my source. Thus, in Japan, Venusaur, Blastoise, and Charizard FA are the ones in the Red & Blue Promo Box w/ figures.
B, Yes. Those 5 Secret Rares are in the uncommon slot. Lucky you if you pull a secret rare and an ultra rare in the same pack. Those secret rares are seen above.
C, Mewtwo is a regular rare due to theme decks.

want evidence? Here it is according to my source. Starting from Fairy Energy (99/108):
  • (100/108) M-Venusaur EX
  • (101/108) M-Charizard EX
  • (102/108) M-Blastoise EX
  • (103/108) Mewtwo EX
  • (104/108) Pidgeot EX
  • (105/108) M-Pidgeot EX
  • (106/108) Dragonite EX
  • (107/108) Brock's Grit
  • (108/108) Misty's Determination
  • (109/108) Ooyama's Exeggutor
  • (110/108) Flying Pikachu
  • (111/108) Surfing Pikachu
  • (112/108) ....eeewww! Imakuni?'s Doduo
  • (113/108) Here Comes Team Rocket
source: So Many of them
