I went and watched it today and I have to tell you I follow the X-File seasons and the good things and the bad things about this movie

1.Its good for first time watchers cause it doesn't take off on much of the season at all

2.Its a good storyline

3.The same characters are the same as the actors in the season it hate when they put new guys in for the main character it just ruins the movie

the bad thing I didn't like about it

1.I wish it would have followed X-Files main mythology and have it be based on aliens and not finding a missing FBI agent

2.it was a little hard to understand

what did you guys think of it those of you who watched it
 
It's good for the people who have never/hardly seen the show. For religious watchers, I don't recommend it.

why wouldn't you recommend it for religious people I'm religious and none of it offended me
 
right but this has nothing to do with Aliens and I don't believe in aliens but it makes a good storyline
 
Well, then Indiana Jones is really bad. (Obviously, not.) I think the movie is average, no matter the story. Excellent cast and intriguing movie.

well I was dissapointed but it was still a X-File and I thought the storyline was great so hopefully they will comeout with another one about aliens after all the season did end with Mulder and Scully finding out the due date of the final alien invasion
 
I've never seen any other episodes of X-files, and I saw the movie with my family (they are big fans). It was pretty traumatizing for me, especially at the end. I eventually just left the theature and saw a different movie.
 
its not based on the episodes at all but some of it is kind of weird so I can see why you think that its also a little hard to understand if your not used to it but you missed out on the end thats horrible

I know how you feel, my mother used to watch the series when I was very young 4/5 I think, and I was always sacred of the theme song, even until now, I still am, I don't even dare watch the movie...
