Will Garchomp C still be good?

I relatively new to the pokemon tcg scene and was wondering after the next rotation which will probably be RR on and most of the sp engine will be gone, do you guys think garchomp c will still be a good card to play? Without energy gain youll need an extra energy but sniping for 80 is still good. We'll still have sp radar to get C LVX so it wont be too slow, but what do you guys think? should we just clear a space in the binder next to uxie?

I ask this mainly because i was thinking of getting a chomp (cause again im newish) and dont have it and wanted to know if i should, Hope this is the right place.

IMO, It Depends on if Lost World is released or not. If it is, GCX will drop in price and only be played in DialgaChomp. Otherwise, Garchomp will still be valueable until rotation. After rotation, it will lose most of it's Value. Without most of the SP engine, SP will be Teir 2/3/4.

most sp's will lose there luster after the next rotation (thank goodness). without the back up garchomp wont be as good actually most sp's wont be as good.. lostgar will be the next dominating deck after the rotation

Yeah. SP decks won't be very good after rotation. But that's actually a good thing. It'll be a nice change in pace for the game. =D

I wouldn't get one if you don't have it already. I'd say if you had it already that it wouldn't be a great idea to get rid of it necessarily, but it's probably not worth getting right now.
As far as the rotation, as you said, it will probably be RR-on, but there is still a chance it's Platinum-on or even maybe Arceus-on or something crazy. We'll just have to wait and see.

whoa whoa whoa JUST WAIT A MINUTE. You must be all be really good players to already know that next rotation is probably Rising Rivals on. Might I take the time to remind you people that 2 years ago, it was DEFINITELY Legends Awakened on. Oh wait, they wanted more sets to in at one time, so there was none. THen this year, it was DEFINITELY Platinum on. Oh wait, they retired 4 sets, and it's MD on. oops. :3 I'm just saying that we can't be thinking about NEXT rotation when City Championships aren't even over yet, and we have NO CLUE what next rotation it will be, so no, it will not probably be Rising Rivals on.

Now that I'm finished lecturing, with the SP Engine Gone, Garchomp should still function fairly nicely, but it won't be QUITE as good. Energy Gain, Cyrus, Power Spray, etc. will all be gone yes, but SP Radar will still be legal, as will Pokemon Collector and Double Colorless Energy. Pretty much all you need for a garchomp C Lv. X deck.

The next rotation is going to be rr on so...jk.

But seriously, tPCI said that they wanted 9 sets at the beginning and 13 at the end of the year, and would have a consistent rotation to keep up with that schedule. So UNLESS they go against what they stated, the next season will be rr-on, that's why everyone think's that'll be it.

About pl-on, that was just a rumor that made more sense than any other format, because it was following a year in which something extremely unusual happened (no rotation), so everyone had crazy ideas about the rotation. Nothing crazy happened last rotation, so we have no reason to have crazy ideas about the rotation.
