If you have seen Serebii's main page, it has information for D/P for the starters MAYBE being of the Fighting, Dark, Psychic type, but that doesnt seem fair. Dark can hit Fighting for low damage, Fighting can hit Psychic for low damage and Psychic can't hit Dark at all, seems a bit unfair in my opinion. What are your thoughts?
 
I don't like that either. They should make a different triangle that works better. (I'm too lazy to think up my own at the moment.)

But it also works in reverse, psy is good against fighting, fighting is good against dark, and dark is good against psy. plus what ever type triangle they use it always works like that. i.e. fire>grass>water
 
That's not the point though. If you choose the Psy starter, you won't be able to use your STABs on your rivals starter because Psychic doesn't affect Dark types.

Nah, your rival always picks the one that has the advantage over your own. Maybe it will be able to learn a wide range of moves to compensate?

If the info on the main page is correct, Go Gengar, Sludge Bomb & Shadow Ball are non physical attacks in the game, meaning they SHOULD be able to use Gengar's Massive SpAtk to their advantage and STAB the power of the moves.

Or did I read it wrong?
 
I did not see any error and I was just there about an hour ago.:)
 
Uh oh. I really hope it isnt true Blitz. Really.
And I hope that doesnt mean earthquake becomes a SPatk either. Groudon would become worthless and Kyogre, Latios, and Latias would be even more broken than before...

i don't like it. it might just be because there won't be a new fire starter evo family, but i think it's kinda stupid that if you pick Psy, you can't even hit your Opponent.

Example: Thyplosion Fire Blasts Bulbasaur. As Fire Blast is a SpAtk, Bulbasaur won't suffer weakness thing. But if Thyplosion Fire Punches Bulbasaur, Bulbby will suffer because Fire Punch is a Ph.Atk. Ain't it lame?
