This is the thread for Warhammer. It's a table top game, in which you must fight for objectives and strongholds, or just completely wipe out the enemy. It can be quite a complicated game.

So what do you like about it?
Which armies do you collect?

WARHAMMER Fantasy Battles

I collect the Night Goblins. I have:
•120 Goblins
•50 Spiders
•Leader
•Magician

WARHAMMER 40,000
I collect the Necrons.
Here is my army list:

•40 Warriors
•4 Destroyers
•10 Scarab Swarms
• Lord with Resurrection Orb

I also collect theImperial Guard.
•10 Cadian Shock Troopers

Do you like Warhammer? Maybe I'll set up a club if I get enough people replying.

I wish I could get into Warhammer... The problem is, it's just too much money. I bet it's a blast to play, though.

Yeah, I tried to get into it, but its too expensive. I play pokemon tcg and mtg and I'm a teenager in high school. If it costed less, I would definently make my own army.

I went through a Warhammer phase. I had a bunch of Chaos Marines from 40K, and I loved collecting them. The thing that really put me off is that I suck at painting the things, and I always wanted them to look awesome and they would turn out like a pink and black gloop of mess.

I've played a few times. Definitely an interesting game. If I found an army for sale cheap, I can see myself playing. But for now, I'm happy borrowing someone's army if I even want to play.

I play when I'm not busy and my friends are done with sports. I collect the Tyranids, but I don't really have an immense amount yet so I don't have much firepower. Plus there's so many rules for that game that I'm not completely sure how to play most the time lol.

It's very expensive, but my Necron army cost me overall $90/£60. Prices may change.

I enjoy painting and playing a lot. Sure, the Necrons aren't hard to paint, but I enjoy paintin some of my brother Chaos Marines and they are hard.

I've started to collect the Imperial Giard too.

Well, some of us have some intellect brother. And don't spend their whole lives playing Pokémon.

Also, I'm no saying that anyone who thinks it's complicated has a low intellect, but he does.

I got quite into warhammer a couple of years ago. I play Skaven and Tyrannids and my boyfriend and I share a space Orks arms [He plays Chaos and Black Templars] I enjoy the game but I don't really fit in with the crowds at GamesWorkshop that play it. They're really REALLY into it and take it super seriously and I'm a bit too sarcastic and I don't take it seriously enough for them to enjoy playing with me. Plus I'm a GIRL so all the younger kids get all nervous around me, and the older dickheaded ones get pissed off that a GIRL has invaded their super secret nerdclub. It got to the point where they wouldn't even speak to me and totally ignored me and asked questions about my army to my boyfriend instead. It's completely person and it's honestly put me off the game more than anything else.

I'm really REALLY into painting and converting, though. Especially with my Skavens. I'll pick up ANYTHING to use with my ratties. I converted a Carnosaur into a huge vicious rat monster [resculpted the face, added ears and fur and modified the feet] And the last project I started working on was some vampire bats I was going to convert into winged rat mounts with converted packmaster riders. I never got round to painting them, though. Maybe one day, ONE DAY.

I don't put any of my stuff together anymore... I work so dang often that I never get the chance so one of my friends said he would do it because he loves doing that kinda stuff. Its a pain though because all of the Biomorphs and stuff on the Tyranids just make it that much harder to put them together and keep up with them. I was going to pick some more up the other day, but 30 bucks for some Hormagaunts was a little pricey for me.

@Ghostboy- Yea I've noticed that about most gamers. Not the being afraid of women part (I wouldn't know being a man), the being WAY to into part. I wouldn't dare walk into one of those stores in fears of being ridiculed about my mass amount of ignorance in the ways of Warhammer. That's why I like my Pokemon TCG players, everyone's usually just there to have a good time :D

@Ghostboy: I would think it fine if a girl joined. I don't see why more do It is a little strange for a girl to join as in my five years of Warhammer I have not once seen a girl playing.

@Dragon Rider of Pokébeach: Seems a lot of people collect the Tyranids. Hmmmmmm. Why don't you collect the Necrons? They're easy to build and paint.

Too cheap? Bah. It's all expensive. Glad to hear you're starting!

I finally finished my "Semi Pro" course. It consisted of winning four games of 3000+ points.

I'm also buying a Imperial Guard Chimera in a while. That'll be fun painting and building.

I meant cheap as in unfair :p. If there were some that were too cheap money wise I'm pretty sure that's the group EVERYONE would play as lol. I don't even think I have a 2000 Point army worth of figures yet either.... Pretty sad

Coolio. Also, the Necrobs aren't cheap. Just 'cos they can come back to life doesn't mean they're unfair or mean. It's really fun watching my opponents horror as I destroy his entire side after forty necrons being killed and coming back to life.

That whole sentence right there sounded pretty cheap lol. If your opponent is watching in horror then you're doing something that's pretty powerful. Anyways I'd still rather have my mob of giant bugs hit fast and hard in close combat. Just as it should be done :p
