  • 1 Level Ball
  • 3 VS Seeker
  • 2 Trainers' Mail
  • 3 Forest of Giant Plants
  • 2 Escape Rope
  • 2 Super Potion
  • 1 Energy Retrieval
  • 1 Professor's Letter
  • 1 Floral Crown
  • 1 Revitalized
  • 2 Healing Scarf
Energy:
  • 3 Double Colorless Energy
  • 7 Grass Energy
Strategy:

The main strategy of this deck is to use sceptile's ability to charge and keep venusaur healthy. Lugia as a back up attacker.
The deck is still rough and I can't decide what to focus on. Revitalizer seems like a better pokemon search than balls. If I use battle compressors I can put the pieces of sceptile into the discard and fish them out with revitalizer and evolve with plant forest.

I also need to decide if i wanna use mega or regular venusaur as an attacker. To decide on tools. Either healing scarfs or fighting fury

Any thoughts?

Unfortunately, there is no energy-attachment acceleration (EAA) for Grass decks; and that coupled with getting your stage 2 Sceptile line(s) setup seem "slow" to me. in addition, your starting EX Pokémon could suffer lots of early damage. Lastly, depending upon your opponent's deck, your Venasaurscould still be 2HKOd with little/no time to re-power up a 2nd Venasaur EX.

On the other hand, have you considered EAA or EA manipulation Pokémon like Aromatisse, Golduck BREAK, or Magnezone? Each of these particular Pokémon can be used to help you utilized Max Potion; thus, allowing you to run your Venasaurs in "tank" mode and much harder to KO.

Thoughts?

Technically sceptile does provide an extra attachment and heals 30 hp. If I am reading the ability correctly.

With plant forest I could possibly get it out turn one.

Venusaur's second attack heals 30 and with a scarf it can heal 20 more from a regular attachment. If sceptile is used, it heals 50 with the scarf. Healing 80 hp a turn with just one energy and sceptile. This doesn't include pokemon center lady or super potion.

My main concern is being OHKOed.

Mega Venusaur on the other hand has 230 hp. But loses out on the 30 hp from its attack. Though it gains paralysis and 120 damage. Ideally giving it 2 turns between opponents attacks.
