I have an expanded format Blacephalon deck from a few formats ago (none of the cards are newer than Crobat V, but I don't think it's quite that old) that I wish to update to the Chilling Reign standard format (actually I wish to update it to the Evolving Skies pre-rotation format, but since that is a future format and there hasn't been sufficient time to playtest, I'll just settle for the current standard format and then update this deck along with all my others for when the Evolving Skies pre-rotation format arrives).
The list is as follows:
1. Blacephalon Unbroken Bonds 32/214 x4
2. Dedenne GX Unbroken Bonds 195a/214

Hi Charmaster:),

Here is a possible list to start with that includes cards from Chilling Reign and Evolving Skies made for the pre-rotation format.

Pokémon (14):
4 Blacephalon UNB (beatdown)
2 VolcaronaV S7R (beatdown)
1 Mewtwo UNB (retrieval)
3 Gossifleur S1W (search)
3 Eldegoss S6a (search)
1 Crobat V (draw)

Trainer (32):
3 Boss's Orders (control)
4 Prof. Research (draw)
4 Welder (draw)
3 Scoop Up Net (retrieve)
1 U-Turn Board (retreat)
3 Fire Crystal (retrieve)
4 Level Ball (search)
4 Quick Ball (search)
3 Switch (retreat)
3 Giant Hearth (search)

Energy (14):
14 Fire Energy

Here are the spoilers for some of the new cards:

Volcarona
Basic Fire Pokémon
HP: 210
[R] Surging Flames: 20+
This attack does 20 more damage for each basic energy card in your discard pile. Then, shuffle those cards into your deck.
[R][R][C] Fire Blast: 160
Discard an Energy from this Pokemon.
Retreat Cost: CC
Weakness: W

Similar to Victini Prism Star this card can be a nice cleaner once your Blacephalon discarded a ton of energies.

Eldegoss
Stage 1 Grass Pokémon - evolves from Gossifleur
HP: 80
Ability: Cotton Transport
Once during your turn, you may search your deck for up to 2 basic energy cards, reveal them, and put them into your hand. Then, shuffle your deck.
[G] Cotton Guard: 30
During your opponent's next turn, this Pokémon takes 30 less damage from attacks (after applying Weakness and Resistance).
Retreat Cost: C
Weakness: R

In addition to Giant Hearth and Fire Crystal Eldegoss can search for the [R] energies needed to fuel your attackers and to be discarded with Blacephalon. You can resort to Gossifleur from SWSH1 in a pinch to get out your Pokémon with Call for Family and the entire evolution line can be searched with Level Ball.

You may want to tech in Mew from UNB by replacing one Eldegoss but Mew is not that much of an issue for most decks that hit the bench now. Another card that you may want to tech in is Oricorio GX to have some additional draw support.

Hope this provides some initial assistance.
