I'm trying to make a kick ass team and I'm wondering what is the strongest Pokemon for each type excluding Arceus. Legendaries included.

Making a good team isn't as simple as slapping together the best Pokemon of different types. You want to chose team members to fit certain roles and to cover certain threats. The typing of your Pokemon really isn't all that relevant as long as your Pokemon work well together and have no major weaknesses.
