Hi, so if you haven't seen the premium article posted by Stephane, that is the basis for this list. It's essentially a hand-lock deck designed to drive your opponent's hand size to 0.

Pokemon:
4x Misdreavus
4x Mismagius
2x Pheromosa & Buzzwole GX (Beast Ring/Tag Switch)
2x Trevenant & Dusknoir GX

Trainers:
4x Green's Exploration
2x Lt. Surge's Strategy
2x Jessie & James
1x Mallow & Lana
1x Cynthia & Caitlin
1x Cynthia

4x Mysterious Treasure
4x Dusk Stone
4x Pokegear 3.0
4x Custom Catcher
3x Order Pad
2x Tag Call
2x Beast Ring
2x Reset Stamp
2x Tag Switch
1x Switch
1x Great Catcher

2x Power Plant

Energy:
6x Psychic Energy

edit: might consider the following changes:
-4 custom catcher

u rite u rite
-2 buzzmosa
+2 guzznaga

I'm not sure he is right.

Guzznaga has 20 more HP, and is not weak to Fire. Which , meta-dependant, seems to be a bit more in vogue than Fairy right now. Plus you can search for it with the Mystery Treasure. Plus it has an attack you might use once in a blue moon whereas Buzzmola is pure bench sitter. It can also self-heal at a stretch and try thin the deck of the extra Misdreavuses you don't want later. It does have one higher retreat but you shoud not be manually retreating here anyway.

Speaking of, one switch/one MalLana is not going to be enough now that Great Catcher is legal.

hm? im agreeing with his statement that guzznaga is better than buzzmosa.
i also agree with your statement about needing to run more switching cards but there is simply no room

GuzzNaga has an ability so you won't be able to use Green's Exploration if you start with it. With the low count of pokemon in your deck, that's a high possibility. Not saying it's a change you should make, just stating that it will hurt your consistency for the deck.

Apologies, I read that backwards with the edited post.

@jamashawalker has a fair point though, GuzzNaga kills the Green engine as soon as it hits the bench.

This list looks actually good, but as a noob/starting player in ptcg and the competitive scene, how does it fare against the top decks of the format?

If you can get it set up and get the lock going it's incredibly powerful and is a force to be reckoned with. Unfortunately, it bricks a ton and is just not consistent enough to even be compared with top decks like ABZard, M3w and ADP.

It can be a very fun deck to play tho
