The concept: A massive repository of tips for fakers who want sets.

The execution: If you don't have tips, please don't post. (Just Read) For people with tips: Post them here for all to see.

Tip 1: Some preexisting cards are in new sets incredibly often (Switch, Potion, etc.) Add those to your sets.

Tip 2: Balance rarity of Evo Lines as in a real set; with the basic common, stage 1 uncommon, etc.

Anyone else?

< Just on tip 1: It's really your call on that. Having them for the sake of authenticity is nice, and all, but really, it shouldn't make a difference. :/ >

Tip 3: Try to keep good ratios of quantities of each rarity. You shouldn't have more rare holos than commons, but if you want to make the set massive (eg. double of everything), go for it.

For Pokemon that are often seen together (ex. Solrock and Lunatone, Plusle and Minun, Latios and Latias, etc.) work in combos between them. Every once in a while some pokemon that have two base types should have two different cards per type. (ex. Metang from Hidden Legends. he has a metal form and a psychic form. Wait, was it ex deoxys? w/e.)

I say send your fakes to PUSA and ask them if they will make your fakes in the future because you never know it might just happen and also it might not but it is worth a try.:)

Stop spamming xxashxx. It has nothing to do with the topic. Read the topic and make relevant posts. That goes for all your posts please.

That isn't spam it was just an idea I had. Anyway Spaming is when you send an ad like a pop up that says you will get something if you click here kind of thing that is spam but what I posted was an idea not spam.:)

Actually, it technically is spam because it isn't relevant to the topic. This topic is about how to make fake sets realistic by determining how many rares, commons, uncommons, trainers, Pokémon-ex, Shining Pokémon, to put in, not how to get your fake set published by Nintendo. What you are talking about is completely different. Please, just accept what Abhorsen said.

Real sets tend to vary in count. Where some sets have only 64 cards, some can have well over 100 cards. The most secret cards or Shining Pokémon that are usually in a set at any given time is 3. Secret cards can be Pokémon-ex or regular cards. The boxtopper doesn't even have to be relevant to the set; For EX: Deoxys and EX: Unseen Forces, the boxtoppers were Rocket's Pokémon, even though there were no other Rocket's Pokémon in the set. There was also δ Pikachu in Legend Maker.

Oh I see but remember it was just thought I had because I thought it would be a good idea if you guys sent them in so I thought it was good and thanks a lot.:) IA know I wonder why they did that to those sets. I guess they forgot certain cards in the set or just did not have room for them.:)

EDIT I also said that because you guys make good fakes too.:)

Put it in alphabetical order.
eg:
Altaria
Lunatone
Solrock
Blastoice

Should be

Altaria
Blastoice
Lunatone
Solrock

1.) Base the set list on an already existing set (EX Dynamics's layout was based loosely on the layout of EX Emerald)
2.) If you run out of commons, toss in obsolete pokemon (eg: Luvdisc, Farfetch'd, Delibird, etc)
3.) In addition to 3, add 2 versions of a single poke, usually the starters or some stage 2 evo line
4.) Sets with 80-120 cards are pretty stable. 168 is a bit overdoing it and in that case, the set should be split into 2 separate sets (EX Gym Johto, for example, being split into EX Gym Johto East and EX Gym Johto West)
