Hi everyone ! I was looking on some of the lower ranked Pokemon in OU and decided to build a team-Hope you will like it and will be able to share your thoughts on how can I improve it.
Elsa (Froslass) @Focus Sash
Ability: Cursed Body
Nature:Timid
EV: 252 sp.atk 4 hp 252 spe
-Spikes
-Taunt
-Destiny Bond
-Ice Beam
I find this Pokemon to be one of the best leads for my team. 110 speed outspeeds a lot of threats that usually opens up the battle and attempt to set up send sticky web or sr at me. with that speed I can taunt these threats use my own hazards and finish them off with destiny bond after using my focus sash. I usually mange to set up 2 layers of spikes which are great for my team to deal with grounded Pokemon. Ice Beam is there so I will be able to deal heavy damage to Garchomp lead.
Tiny (Dragonite) @Choice Band
Ability: Multiscale
Nature:Adamant
EV: 252 atk 4 def 252 spe
-Extreme Speed
-Earthquake
-Fire Punch
-Outrage
This is my early game wallbreaker being able to punch holes in the opponents team with its ES which Dragonite gets a lot of help from spikes. EQ is mandatory move for any team to have so Dragonite fills that spot + Fire Punch is for annoying Ferrothorn and Scizors - both likes also to battle early in the game. Dragonite is great for me to switch MegaMan and block EQuakes + its ability keeps me feeling safe to switch him in on many attacks when Dragonite is at full HP.
Pit (Amoonguss) @Black Sludge
Ability: Regenerator
Nature:Bold
EV: 252 hp 252 def 4 s.atk
-Spore
-Sludge Bomb
-Clear Smog
-Giga Drain
My pivot. this Pokemon is great with Megaman as it can swallow Equakes usually pretty well and punish switches with spore, making my opponent to switch out and take another spikes damage
Clear smog is mainly for reseting Clefable's Calm minds and so being able to bring him down with Sludge Bomb. Regenerator helps me to switch freely into attacks in order to scout and force switches.
Athena (Manectric) @ Manectite
Ability: Lightning Rod>Intimidate
Nature:Timid
EV: 252 sp.atk 4 def 252 spe
-Volt Switch
-Thunderbolt
-Flamethrower
-Hidden Power [Ice]
My Mega here acts as my main special attacker and pivot. its job is to prevent defogs, deal with birdspam and intimidate physical threats so they will be forced to switch out and take some spikes.
This Pokemon here is also to check many Pokemon such as Greninja Landorus-T Suicune Talonflame Garchomp Mega Scizor Skarmory and Ferrothorn. I think this one is the most solid Pokemon in my team and I kind of based the team around him.
Superstar (Starmie) @Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
Nature:Timid
EV: 252 hp 24 def 4 sp.atk 232 spe
-Rapid Spin
-Recover
-Psychock
-Scald
Starmie is my spinner as I cannot use a defogger since I am using Froslass that most likely dies in the first turns. Excadrill could be nice but I find Starmie much more fitting to my team as it can use Scald to burn many physical threats, use psyshock against Fighting types and recover to keep healthy in order to be able to spin more incoming hazards.
Hawkgirl (Hawlucha) @Power Herb
Ability: Unburden
Nature:Adamant
EV: 252 atk 8 hp 248 spe
-Sky Attack
-High Jump Kick
-Acrobatics
-Swords Dance
Hawlucha destroy Mega Venusaur and can find a lot of opportunities to set up or using Sky Attack to active its unburden speed boost and sweep a lot of things with Acrobatics and Hight Jump Miss (lol)
Helping a lot for MegaMan to clear specially defensive threats.
So this is it. Looking at my team here I see that my biggest counter is Latios and Charizard X + I still feel like I need stealth rock..
