(Yeah, another small list)

Stunfisk is clearly an attempt at GameFreak trolling us. Limber Stunfisk is high on the list of GameFreak trolls, alongside Flareon, Levitate Rotom-S, Insomia Delibird and Final Gambit Shedinja. Oh, and it looks like the troll face.

Beyond the surface though, Stunfisk is surprisingly decent. It boasts more overall defenses than Gastrodon, in both physical and special defense categories. Its typing isn't the greatest, with four common weaknesses, but a resistance to Stealth Rock is cool. Oh yeah, and Stunfisk gets Scald.

There are a lot of routes that could be taken to improve Stunfisk. One idea I have would be giving it Storm Drain, essentially creating a spinoff of Gastrodon. The tradeoff would be a much more solid offensive advantage against Politoed and other Water-types due to STAB Thunderbolt coming off of a possible boosted Sp.A stat, although it does take Ice Beams for super effective damage. Access to a 50% recovery move would also be good. At +1, 4 Sp.A Calm Stunfisk does 80-95% to Politoed with Thunderbolt, while Specs Politoed only does 45-53% with Ice Beam.

So, with that, discuss.

I haven't played the games competitively for a while, so I might be a little rusty on my knowledge of tiers and stuff.

Anyway, I've used a Stunfisk in RU before, with T-bolt/Scald/HP Ice/Toxic, if I remember correctly, and it was decent. Now, the problems...

Its decent in RU with Static, but you can't really use Sand Veil until you get to UU with Hippopotas, at which point Stunfisk has trouble keeping up. Having an Electric typing, an Electric resistance, and Limber makes it a hilarious triple threat against paralysis, though seriously, how stupider can this get?

The stats are all acceptable-ish for the tier and Stunfisks role, but a +10 in at least 2 of its 4 highest stats would be a great blessing. Now, the typing. Somewhat ok, with it resisting rocks and other types. However, a weakness to Surf, EQ, and Ice Beam is nothing short of brutal. One of the greatest things that could happen to this sad flatfish is either of its types getting replaced by Water. And really, either could work. This, combined with minor stat boosts and better abilities, could make Stunfisk a solid Pokemon in RU or UU. Unfortunately, this isn't happening, so this little guy is left flopping around the lower bits of the RU tier.

Heres hoping my analysis of this is partly decent :p
