I've been messing around with this Deck on Novice in the PTCGO and thus far it is undefeated, had a close call against an Empolean Deck though, and it is EXTREMELY fun!

Pokemon: 12
  • 4-1-4 Weedle/Kakuna/Beedrill PF
  • 2 Mr. Mime PF
  • 1 Emolga DE
Trainers: 38
  • 4 N
  • 4 Skyla
  • 4 Professor Juniper
  • 4 Rare Candy
  • 4 Max Potion
  • 4 Pokemon Catcher
  • 3 Virbank City Gym
  • 2 Bianca
  • 2 Ultra Ball
  • 2 Level Ball
  • 2 Super Rod
  • 1 Tool Scrapper
  • 1 Float Stone
  • 1 Rock Guard
Energy: 10
  • 10 Grass Energy
Strategy:
Pretty much get Beedrill and Virbank out asap, if necessary Max Potion then attach Energy (Since Beedrill only needs one Energy it is really efficient), then swing for 90-120 damage. Beedrill also has no Retreat cost, which is great. Using Mr. Mime currently, to protect my squishy Weedles. I plan on possibly incorporating Garbador once Plasma Blast releases to counter Virizion EX..

I wonder if Ditto would be helpful...

Any comments, suggestions, and opinions are welcome! ^.^

Actually, in this format, I would consider Garbodor. Virizion is going to run rampant and the last thing you need is your Special Conditions taken away from you. So, here is what I would do:

-Cherrim line (You don't need it, and everything in this format pauwnches you for more than two of these guys can heal, making them kind of useless, especially when you have Max Potion.)

-2 Cheren (Cheren is one of those cards that would be much better in decks that run things like Recycle. Unfortunately, in this deck, you don't run Recycle and it is going out in this next rotation, so Cheren is kind of useless.)

-1 Skyla (This isn't really required to do, but in the end, you don't want to dead draw into a Skyla when you want something like a Juniper. So for safety's sake, I always try to go for just three Skyla.)

Subtotal: 8

I would add these in in their places!:

+2/2 Garbodor (I know what you're thinking. Why on earth would you go for Garbodor? I'll answer that question with another question, "who wants sixty dollars?" The reason is because of Virizion; she trolls you in every shape and form with her ability. Plus, people can use Keldeo to get out of your Special Conditions, and those are valuable. So, you run Garbodor so you can troll their fish and take some prizes.)

+3 Bangle/Mirror (It really depends with this deck; with Mirror, you run it more defensively, as you can deny Kyurem your Bees and Garbodor alike, but Bangle makes it to where on the way back into your turn, Poison KOs EXs, making it to where you can keep the cycle coming if they don't have a Float Stone or Switch and you catcher up something with high-ish retreat, such as Deoxys. However, consider Bangle useless on Garbodor. It's really your pick.)

+1 Switch (With no Float Stone in this deck, you will want to run this to make sure that Garbodor isn't Catcher-Stalled and to make it out of Sleep unscathed.)

Hope this helps!

Yeah I was considering Garbador come Virizion, and is probably the best bet. Any ideas on what to do until Plasma Blast hits though? (I wanna mess around and have fun with this Deck while I "patiently" wait for August 14th...)

Emolga/Genesect for a starter? I'll add 2 Emolga because of the retreat, but if not, just go with Genesect, it has more HP and the same typing.

+2 Emolga/Genesect
-1 Virbank(3 is a LOT)
-1 HTL(you'll be poisoning anyways)

^ The Genesect would imply that he would wait until Plasma Blast; he said he wanted to wait.

But I actually agree with Emolga, especially since you may run Garbodor.

What do you guys think would be the right amount of Grass Energies to have?
At first I only had 8 because Beedrill only needs 1 to attack with, unlike most Deck's main attacker(s), so I thought I could get away with that.. But since one of my main strategies, one I use nearly every other turn, is
Max Potion -> Attach Energy -> Attack. Thus I end up needing more Energy than you'd expect at first glance.

So I added 2 Super Rods and upped the Energy count to 10.
