The official PokéBeach Super Smash Bros. Brawl tournament
Welcome to our very 1st official Brawl tournament. This tournament will follow the usual competitive tournament rules, I did not come up with these, so arguing that something should change will probably have no result, sorry.
Courtesy Rules
For the 1st stage select, both players get to place a coin on either of the following stages:
After battling on one of these stages, the loser of the match gets to select the next stage. This is done by quitting the battle menu, contacting the person you're battling and telling him which stage you will fight on. Then, the battle starts again, the 2 players pick their characters and then both players place a coin on the selected stage. The losers cannot select any of the following stages:
If the loser of the last match wins this match, the winner of the 1st and loser of the 2nd match gets to pick the 3th stage. He cannot pick any stage which has been battled on before and he cannot pick any of the above mentioned stages.

Courtesy Rules
- Not trying to search your opponent or showing a complete lack of activity will get you disqualified, it is advised that you battle within the 2 weeks following the start of the round to avoid getting disqualified for this reason.
- If someone disconnects and we can't tell who disconnected, we will have no other option but to disqualify you both. If there was A LOT of lag before the disconnect, or both players agree on this, a rematch will occur. It is advised to film your battles if you have the possibility, if you can prove that it was the other person who disconnected, you get the win. Filming your battles is also handy if your opponent doesn't want to acknowledge your win.
♦ Due to problems with Nintendo's servers, you might disconnect unintentionally, in which case, the person who received the error PMs me the error code which appeared on his screen as well as the character the player and his opponent were using and how many stock and wins each player had. The player who did not receive an error PMs me the exact same thing except for the error code. You will then both start the battle over with the exact same characters on the exact same stages. If the error turns out to be caused by a disconnect rather than a server error, the same disconnection rules apply. - Using foul language in your in-game nick/taunts will get you disqualified.
- Make sure you picked the right name, character and colour before you start the match, once the match started, there's no turning back. Making a mistake during the character selection is not a reason to demand a rematch.
- At the moment, I will only allow North-American smashers to join to reduce the amount of lag. (This is not patriotism of any kind because I myself am not American and am in the possession of Brawl.)
- It is advised that you stay in contact with your opponent during the match. This can be done be either sharing AIM/MSN/whatever information or by using Porygon's Chatroom.
- 3-stock survival matches
- Items are turned OFF
- The battles will be 1 on 1, no other players or CPUs should be involved.
- Handicaps are turned OFF
- Damage ratio is 1.0
- The winner will be decided by best-of-3, this means there will be a maximum of 3 and a minimum of 2 matches
- Players are allowed change their characters in between matches.
- This must be set by BOTH players to reduce the chance of something going wrong.
