Hello and welcome to the newly designed LV's Fakemon Projects thread! This was formally know as the Ongan Region Project. However, I have begun moving on and decided to change this into a thread concerning the Fakemon I make. This thread will be split into different sections according to the project. Please continue supporting this thread as it changes and has more content added to it.

It's time for a new update and...well.... I have been looking forward to this update for quite some time. First though, thank you for those who have continued to post on this thread! You are what keeps this thread alive and gives me the drive to push forth.

Before I release the three shadows, I have some important information to give out:

Starting today, the Ongan Region Project will be pushed aside (but not forgotten) for something entirely new! Yes, it is

Pokemon Shine and Shade: The Yuutou Region Project!

Pokemon Shine and Shade is the official name for this project though the Yuutou Region Project is another name for it. Pokemon Shine and Shade takes place in an entirely new region found in the Pokemon world. It has roughly around 135 new Pokemon never seen before. Yuutou means "friendship capital" in Japanese. Much alike the Ongan Region, I will be releasing information regarding the Pokemon, trainers, and the entire region itself. It is nothing like the Fakemon community has ever seen before, nay, the entire Pokemon universe has seen before.

I am still fleshing out the details but this is where the new region will differ from previous regions:

- Three new types (Light, Sound, and Cyber )
Sound
Japanese Name: 音 (Oto)
Sound types are usually based on a instrument, a certain type of sound, a type of singer, or related to music. Most attacks specialize in altering stats such as Growl and Howl while others like Uproar cause physical attacks.

Weak against: Steel and Flying
Strong against: Rock and Psychic

Old Pokemon switched to Sound type:
Whismur (Sound/Normal)
Loudred (Sound/Normal)
Exploud (Sound/Normal)
Chingling (Psychic/Sound)
Chimecho (Psychic/Sound)
Kricketune (Bug/Sound)
Chatot (Flying/Sound)
CDisK (Electric/Sound)
DeeJay (Electric/Sound)
Amatlent (Psychic/Sound)
Spiyonce (Psychic/Sound)
Rihagaga (Psychic/Sound)
Eltovana (Psychic/Sound)
Beatlkson (Psychic/Sound)

Some new Sound attacks is:

Tantrum (Physical) - 3 to 5 turn attack, Raises attack if hit.
Sonic Voice (Physical) Causes damage and possibly confused opponent.
Blare (Physical) Deal out damage according to the hold item.
Echo (Non-physical) May cause confusion several turns after use.
Whisper (Non-Physical) Lowers done defense
Sudden Scream (Physical) Works in conjunction with Whisper. If whisper is used before, it will cause 4x more damage.

Old attacks turned into Sound types:
Growl
Howl
Roar
Sing
Uproar
Screech
Snore
Chatter
Belly Drum
Perish Song
Sleep Talk
Heal Bell
Encore
Yawn
Hyper Voice
Lucky Chant
Echoed Voice
Relic Song

Light
Japanese Name: 光 (Hikari)
The Light type is opposite of Dark. Pokemon who are light types are usually based off a light source, embodiment of good, or electrical lighting. Most attacks focus on lowering accuracy and dealing out light-based moves.

Weak Against: Dark, Grass, Ground
Strong Against: Dark, Ghost, Flying

Old Pokemon switched to the Light type:
Chinchou (Water/Light)
Lanturn (Water/Light)
Volbeat (Bug/Light)
Illuminse (Bug/Light)
Bulbitate (Electric/Light)
Flouresitate (Electric/Light)

New Light type Moves:

Holy Ray (Physical) Lowers accuracy while dealing Light0type damage
Light Sword (Physical) Forms a sword made out of light
Light Beam (Physical) Takes two turns to charge.
Blinding Light (Non-Physical) drastically lowers accuracy
Disorient (Non-physical) Confused opponent

Moves switched to Light-type:

Light Screen

Morning Sun
Moonlight
Sunny Day

Cyber
Japanese Name: サイバー (Cyber)
Cyber is a little known type that usually is found in human-created Pokemon such as Porygon. Cyber-type Pokemon are usually based from electronic/cybernetic forms created by human or human intervention. The Cyber type excels in Evasion, Defense, and Special attack. Most of their attacks deal in trumping other Pokemon such as lowering stats or disabling attacks.

Weak Against: Cyber, Electric, Ice
Strong Against: Cyber, Steel, Fighting

Old Pokemon switched to Cyber Type:
Porygon (Cyber/Normal)
Porygon2 (Cyber/Normal)
Proygon-Z (Cyber/Normal)

Bandwidth (Non-Physical) Disables use of items for 3 turns
Firewall (Non-Physical) Prevents any status altering moves
Short Circuit (Physical) Deals damage while paralyzing or confusing

The Plot

Ongan Region Starters

RE: Ongan Region Fakedex+more

Wow, they are awesome! Although I don't really like the water starter's head, as it reminds me of something off Alice In Wonderland ( I don't know why). The Fire Starter reminds me of Ursaring, but it doesn't really need to be improved on. The great thing about the grass starter is that it is orignal, so there hasn't really been a proper elephant pokemon (not that I can think of) but I am looking forward to seeing more of your fakemon!

RE: Ongan Region Fakedex+more

Thanks. I will do more redone versions in a month or so when I get more up-to-date software. For Kusamuzou, there is Phanphy and Donphan if you remember however I wanted to capitialize on the idea of a "bush elephant". One reason why I like the new pokemon in B/W because some of them are based of the same animal species yet different, you know? I wanted to find a way to redo previously before-seen animal types (elephant, bear). I had one heck of a time designing Okomo.

Here is the earliest version:
oldfaclubmini.png

The second version:
oldfaclubmini2.png

I am still not happy with it so any ideas would much be appreciated. Mijyube (the water starter) is loosely based off a siamese fighting fish aka beta fish.

RE: Ongan Region Fakedex+more

Hmm, I like the earlier version of Okomo alot! (the first one). Also you could try doing fakemon's based on a foosa, a velvet worm,a hoatzin, tripod fish, racoon, giant chinese salamander, Cookiecutter shark, Handfish, Sun Spider, serval, Demon Stingerfish ( O_O), Giant otter. Just a few ideas :p

RE: Ongan Region Fakedex+more

Five new fakemon to add to the list. Again, I am releasing my fakemon as if they are actually being revealed via website. Some of them are pre-evos while some of them are final evos. Once every thing is out, I will arrange them accordingly.

Cocopamini.png

#032 Kokoparu
Japanese Name: ココパル
The Coconut Pokemon
Type: Grass
Ability: Heart Holder
Color: Brown
Height: 1’8
Weight: 12 lbs
Gender: 50%/50%
Evolves into: Huradori with Leaf Stone
Location: Seiki Forest, Route 59
Egg Group: Plant

Kokoparu is the Coconut Pokemon. It evolves into Huradori through the Leaf Stone. It has an unique ability called "Heart Holder" which allows the pokemon to store hearts. Pokemon will give their "heart" to their trainer. This is done by giving the Pokemon special gifts, food, and accessories. You can buy special objects with using hearts.

Kokoparu can be found in tropical forests where they hang from branches or roll along the ground. They cannot move fast due to a lack of legs. They are sad to be able to see the heart of a trainer. If the trainer is virtuous, Kokoparu will open its heart to the trainer and allow the trainer to store other hearts within it.

Kokoparu is based on a coconut. Its name comes from "koko~" from "kokonutsu" and "pal" or "paru".

#018 Akame
Japanese Name: アカメ
The Fire Ant Pokemon
Type: Bug/Fire
Ability: Swarm/Fire Body
Color: Red
Height: 3’4
Weight: 46 lbs.
Evolves from: Magukukun at lvl. 22 -----> Dainopiido through Fire Shard

Akame is the Fire Ant Pokemon. It evolves from Magukukun at level 22. Its abilities are Swarm and Fire Body. It cannot be found in the wild however it is used occasionally by higher level Fire and Bug Pokemon trainers.

It lives deep in volcanic cracks where it eats molten lava. If it does not swim in lava, its skin begins to harden like rock. It lives in large colonies inside volcanos. It piles up molten lava like a hill and allows it to harden; forming a strong, rock like hill. The female Akame is slightly larger compared to the male Akame.

Akame is based on a fire ant. Its name comes from "red" or aka and ant or are.

#116 Kurikoki
Japanese Name: クリコキ
The Quick Pokemon
Type: Electric
Ability: Speed Boost or Motor Drive
Color: Yellow
Height: 2'2
Weight: 32 lbs.
Evolves into: Jettah at lvl 43
Location: Thunder Pinnacle Plains
Breeding Group: Ground. Flying

Kurikoki is the Quick Pokemon. It evolves into Jettah at level 43. Jettah has the abilities Speed Boost and Motor Drive. It has its own unique attack called Star Tackle. Kurikoki and Jettah tackle the opponent. If it lands a hit, it increases the Pokemons speed sharply.

Kurikoki usually live alone and avoid other Pokemon. They can be found in the Thunder Pinnacle Plains. It is known to harness electrical energy in order to achieve top speeds. When chasing prey, it appears as a yellow blur. While Jettah is the fastest land Pokemon, Kurikoki comes in second. Kurikoki often challenge each other for territories through races.

Kurioki is based on a cheetah. Its name comes from Quick or "kuriku" and "~koki" which is from "hikoki" or plane.

#012 Kabutori
Japanese Name: カブトリ
The Shell Head Pokemon
Type: Normal/Flying

Color: Brown
Height: 1’3

Kabutori uses its thick, hard head to break open pieces of wood and rock in order to get to the insect inside. The thick shell is said to be stronger then bone and can withstand an impact after flying 40 mph. It is considered a nuisance in cities and towns since it often runs into windows thus breaking the window. Males have larger shells and will challenge each other over mates.

#120 Doukurou
Japanese Name: ドークロー
The Clock Owl Pokémon
Type: Normal/Flying
Ability: Time Shift
Color: Green
Height: 1'1
Weight: 9 lbs.
Male/Female: 50%/50%
Evolution: Kurodokei through the Magic Feather item
Location: None
Egg Group: Flying

Doukurou is the Clock Owl Pokemon. It evolves into Kurodokei through using the Magic Feather item. Its ability, Time Shift, allows the trainer to travel between the Past, Present, and Future but only as a spectator for 10 minutes at a time. They can not interact directly in the past or future. It is unsure how the ability is used within battle. It has a unique attack called "Time Skip". It has the same idea as "Teleportation" but instead, it will teleport the trainer into a random period of time.

Doukurou can be found sitting in trees with its eyes closed. Despite its sluggish appearance, it is very wary when asleep and will escape into a different time period if startled. At night, they fly in the sky searching for food and water. Many scientists have studied this Pokemon but are often noted for its mysterious abilities and behaviors. It is very elusive and hard to research due to its wary nature.

Doukurou is based of a clock and a owl.

RE: Ongan Region Fakedex+more

The fire ant Pokemon is my favourite :D, love kabutori. For some reason I don't like the expression on kurikoki, because it reminds me of cat in the hat.... but other than that I love it! Kokoparu and Doukurou, are really really cute :p. Also love the way you added info on it, as if they were real pokemon :D

RE: Ongan Region Fakedex+more

(Great!)Sugoi! Okomo and akame catch my attention because they are so cool. Keep it up and I'm hoping for more fakemons. ^^

RE: Ongan Region Fakedex+more

Thanks! I saw some of your fakemon and I like them! I am horrible at spriting though.

Here are shadows of the Legendary mascots. Try and guess what they are!

RE: Ongan Region Fakedex+more

Me too. I'm not good in spriting but someday in the future, I'll try to learn how to make a sprites of my fakemon.
Hmmm.. I gues the 1st one is a Dragon/Steel Type? And the other is a Dark/Ghost. ^^

RE: Ongan Region Fakedex+more

wow, they are really good! I am also guessing that the second one is fire and ghost and the first one is dragon and ground? (because the end of the tail looks like a rock....

I am quite good at spriting, like a beginner.

RE: Ongan Region Fakedex+more

You guys are close! I will post up actual pictures tonight or tomorrow morning.[/align]

I tried to get into spriting about 2 years ago but I wasnt to good at it. I practiced but I couldnt get it right. I was really happy with the level of my sprites. If anyone is interested, I can post some of them on here. I want to combine the Sugimori-style with my own style of drawing. As of right now, I do not have a scanner so any of my artwork is directly done on the mouse. I sketch the figure before hand and go from there. In the next couple months, I plan to purchase a graphic tablet.

The Ongan Region is about a year and half in the making. Most of the ideas are set up (save for ones I had to throw away after B/W took them...I miss my mud crocodoile).

I also have 3-4 more regions/fakedex planned so hopefully I can work on those as well. I am currently working on the artwork for the two new main characters as well as a detailed map overview. The Ongan Region is huge so it is taking quite a while but I am happy with the look of it.

RE: Ongan Region Fakedex+more

Wow, cool, don't you have a tablet? If they are done by mouse that is awesome!!\]
Yeah, post some of your sprites, I would love to see them :D

RE: Ongan Region Fakedex+more

Up until now, I was a poor college student. While I still dont have quite enough to splurge on a nice graphic tablet, I will in November. So yeah, they are all done by mouse. I also do not use Photoshop. I will recieve a copy soon but I lost my copy (from a friend) when my last desktop died. I use a program I bought like 6 years ago lol.

RE: Ongan Region Fakedex+more

Nice, all I ask that you don't make your fire-starters final evo Fire/Fighting (as that combo is starting to get old...& fast).
Also Kurikoki reminds me of: Korinku (which is Shinx's Japanese name)....maybe you should change it.

RE: Ongan Region Fakedex+more

I am tired of fire/fighting starter combos as well. I was pretty disappointed in that regard.

Yeah, I realized that when naming it. I just took the Japanese pronunciation of quick "Kuriku" and "Hikoki" for plane since Kurikoki and its unrevealed evolution are based on both cheetahs and jet planes.

Ok, here are the official Legendary Mascots for the Pokemon Ongan Region!! I appreciate any type of criticism or critique concerning them! They have gone through a evolution of sorts in their design.

stonedragon-1.png

#148 Pairaigon
The Ancient Pokémon
Type: Rock/Dragon
Ability: Past Shift
Height: 32'0
Weight: 5323 lbs

Pairaigon was born from the mountains, etched from stone come to life in the form of a dragon. Previous generations formed cults around this pokemon. However, it has laid dormant for many years because disruption in the time flow has imprisoned it in the present. It is said to hold the power of altering the past as well as shifting between past and present. It's ability, Past Shift, reflects this. In battle, it allows reset previous actions once it reaches a certain HP limit. Outside of battle, it allows the player to enter the "Past Domain".

Tilaxiamini-1.png

#149 Garakuia
The Traveler Pokémon
Type: Psychic/Ghost
Ability: Future Shift
Height: 20'3
Weight: 823 lbs.

Garakuia is the future time traveler. It observes and protects the future. It is able to shift between the present and the future. A urgent need brings it to the future to the extent that it is unable to return back to the future. It uses its mind to sent cryptic messages into the future. It can, in most cases, shift between the two time planes however it is imprisoned in the present now. Its ability, Future Shift, can be used both outside and inside of battle. Future Shift, in battle, allows Garakuia to be forewarn of attacks that it may be weak against therefore half'ing damage done by these attacks. Outside of battle, it allows it the player to travel to the "Future Domain".

_________

Male Character.
I have yet to finish the girl character (most likely tomorrow night unless life happens). I was gonna wait but I wanted to know what people thought before I make a final decision.

mainmalcolor2mini.png

Name: Ken
Age: 14
Notes: Main Character
Hometown: Shodou Town
Personality: Bit arrogant and cool. Quite different from previous main male characters. In the anime/manga, he picks Okomo.

Please let me know what you think of these!!!

Wow, cool, don't you have a tablet? If they are done by mouse that is awesome!!\]
Yeah, post some of your sprites, I would love to see them Big Grin

Here is a thread of them at serebii.net. Some people liked them but a majority said they could use improvement; which I agreed as well. They were my first attempt at spriting.

RE: Ongan Region Fakedex+more

OMG, I was right for pairaigon :p
They both look very cool :D although for pairaigon , one eye is bigger than another (if it isn't intentional)
I like Ken, I'm not sure of any improvements :p
Your sprites are awesome, better than mine :S could you post a tutorial? n_n
Are they part of the Ongan region?

RE: Ongan Region Fakedex+more

Thanks. Yeah the bigger eye was intentional. I am unhappy with its lower part and tail so I may re-work that :/
I am horrible at making sprites haha. I never even thought of doing a tutorial. I forgot the tutorials I looked at asw ell(maybe random youtube videos and just looking at official/fakemon sprites for references).

Here is a somewhat updated version of the male character and then the female character!

mainmalcolor2mini-2.png
femalemainmini-1.png

Here is some information regarding the female character

Name: Mai
Age: 14
Notes: Main Character
Hometown: Shodou Town
Personality: Friendly, fashion conscious, and girlie. In the anime/manga, he picks Mijyube.

Both Ken and Mai have a mother and father. They look exactly the same for hairstyles much like their kids (Ken's parents have blue hair and Mais parents have brown hair).

Ken's parents names are Keiko (Mother) and Kentaro (Father).
Mai's parents names are Mariko (Mother) and Matoko (Father).

Both of the parents are pokemon trainers; maybe even a hidden Pokemon champion! (gasp). (Incidentally, Mai and Ken that are constantly used the text books I use to teach in my English classes lol).

Please enjoy!

RE: Ongan Region Fakedex+more

This is amazing work LostVoice. I really love Paraigon (kinda reminds me of a Digimon) Looking forward for more!

RE: Ongan Region Fakedex+more

Thanks! I appreciate the constructive criticism. I will try to continue to add more updates. I am preparing for a huge release of information so please check back later this coming week!

In the mean time, I would appreciate any feedback, questions, or even ideas for this region! Also, a fully detailed region map is in the works.
